Unfortunately it REALLY needs more content.
Game is too short as is with little replay value.
I actually bought it because I'm a sucker for sharkshit, and mind you I haven't bought only pirated games in more than a decade.
Steamfags are actually lucky because they will get it next year after all DLC is released and by then the game will probably be respectable enough what with new areas, bosses and evolutions like the hinted deep sea area with giant squid apex boss.
I had fun but it got old after 3 days or so.

It looks far better and also controls far better, the areas are way more expansive and filled with more things/more integrated with the city coast where the game takes place to, the gameplay is also not as stale (but still pretty repetitive) due to different abilities/passives from evolution paths.
However, Jaws Unleashed has a lot more sealife, more focus on the actual shark story/cutscene wise, some moves missing from Maneater like sneak attack and sideways enemy dragging, being able to select which body part to strike ( in Maneater they just get dismembered automatically), enemies/blood clouds linger for more time after you kill them.
Overall I'd say Maneater is the more fun game, but it could have used some things from Jaws Unleashed.
Jaws also has a pretty cool deep sea like area but Maneater devs have pretty much confirmed they are bringing that through DLC.
