FF6 is a masterpiece
Suikoden II?
youtube.com
nothing comes close to this song in videogame history.
FFVI is not even peak FF music.
>Complaining about FF music
The music is the only thing consistantly good about the franchise right now. 15 was a shitshow but goddamn did they kill it with the OST
This. FFV is better.

FF6's music is nothing special you Uematsufaggot.
Chrono Trigger's soundtrack destroyed it, let alone other games.
Well yeah, because it was surpassed immediately by FFVII
>FFVII cuck
>thinking that midi bland piece of shit was better than FFVI's ost
No.
who gives a shit RPGs always have the most overrated music
Excuse me?
This is probably the best track Square has managed since Dancing Mad and might be Yoko's most ambitious piece
>caring about music in a fucking video game
This is the the saddest post I've ever seen on this site and I really hope this was written from a deaf person to cope.
FFVII, FFX, any Zelda, Furi
fuck off fag

meh...feels like I'm listening to a Chrono Trigger track with none of the weight behind it.
Music is the second most important part of a game
I will put up with a lot of shit if a game has a great soundtrack
the meme that game soundtracks should be non-attention grabbing background noise like film soundtrack won. It's over.
I forget his name at this point but Alder or whatever the antagonist's name was in FFXV really had the potential to be the best villain in all of FF. Too bad you needed to read 25 additional sources and wait for a fucking 2 year later DLC to get his story, that I assume wasn't even explained in a coherent fashion even with the DLC (never played it).
Just Finished Today, and yea the Music is Insane. 3 Hours is crazy.
>still using soijak unironically
I really like what XV was going for. I loved the themes of comradery, Noctis' backstory and just how tragic his arc was, the shifts the party go through as events unfold, the villain and his goals and just how fucking dark everything was. I mean when you finally get back home, reach the throne just to find the corpses of every major character who's been killed strong up on the chandelier?
It's a shame they botched the execution so hard and literally none of these characters are built up in the actual fucking game. You would never know Noctis was a gimped cripple of you only played the game for example
>>there will never a game with FFVI level of music again
While i agree that the soundtrack is great, there is one huge blemish on it. The normal battle theme is the worst song in the entire game (I'd argue in the entire franchise) and it's the one you hear the most which is a shame since the boss themes are god tier.
Right on.
And the ones who have the best soundtracks are always the underrated ones.

Does he know?
Uematsu only composed a few tracks and he was following Mitsuda's guidelines.
Not that I care about Mitsuda outside of Chrono Trigger either.
BoFII is my favorite of the first two but I'll admit BoF1's OST blew it away.
Then BoFIII nailed it.
FF7 has some bangers, but just about every song in FF6 is maximum kino.

Those opening, This game has so many great openings.
I don't like the game very much but FF XIV's soundtrack is unreal. Both the quality and quantity are insane. Soken might be Square's most valuable asset right now and they better hold on to him as long as they can
Wait Noctis was a cripple?
