Synthetik

Why don't I ever see people talk about this game?
It's fun

Hey hey people

i've played it a lot but i also die a lot

I tried it for like 1 second and it seems cool, it has a really fresh visual style. I'm not getting into it right now because I just played another similar game called Jydge.

how's it going?
you should die a lot with me
>Jydge
it looks cool, but I don't see that close of a resemblance gameplay-wise.

I got filtered by trying to complete a >200% run as riot guard.
I put in 34 hours and got burnt out on attempting this challenge over and over.

I enjoy Engineer. Mostly because I like dropping down 3 turrets on enemies, then hiding behind a corner.

You can definitely make the game really hard for yourself. I think I normally play at about 155% but I can only make it past the first boss consistently (though the hacking terminal boss is a massive pain).
Only at 30 hours myself so I can git gud skillwise, but I'm not level 25 on any class yet and I feel like some of the buffs you get from them might make a bigger impact.
I will say I'm surprised I like playing most of the classes, I have everything at 15+ which isn't something I expected I'd be doing.

Is there a way to drop multiple turrets at once? I've only seen the eng class turret and the DMR one you can get as an item, is it possible to drop the same turret multiple times?

If you have multiple copies.
You can also start a match with a suitcase turret as well.

Oh, you can get multiple copies of the same item? Don't think it's ever happened to me in a run.
>Suitcase turret
Right, completely forgot about the items not unlocked with data.

Fair. I like the vials and the suitcase turret.
When I play with a friend of mine he'll often give me a second suitcase turret, since he doesn't like most of the items available to his chosen class.

I haven't looked into it, but how balanced are the class items and modules in the game? There's so many choices you can make in the game that I don't know which one is the reason I'm not getting that far solo

I haven't looked too far into it myself. I just pick ones I like, or ones my friend requests for the share slot, and just be on my way.

10/10 game, best roguelite I've ever played and I've played a shitload. Only complaint is that leveling takes too long and the disco room is ass. Bosses in general suck

Reminder rogue is best class

Makes sense
Nice, any advice for a semi-noob?
Like
>best weapons
>best variants
>best items/starter items
>best class modules
>best upgrade kit mods
I'm personally a fan of the commando classes, I always like the idea of having unlimited heals and ammo.

Jydge fucking owns. Holy shit did I fall into that game.

I almost always just play assassin
The professional stack doesn't really stay up later in the game and smgs are shit but otherwise i love it. Always having enough money to buy shit you want and upgrade items. MONEY!
Really like the sniper as well but it is a real pain to play solo later in the game

yep, rogue is best

I think this game and Everspace finally cemented how little I care for roguelites as a whole. While the moment to moment gameplay and presentation is genuinely great, the progression, level design and structure is so bland and forgettable (maybe lazy too) that it brings down the rest of the experience.

>Best weapons
Depends on your class and personal taste
>Best variants
Depends on the weapon, but Alpha is always good.
>Best items/starter items
Depends on class
>Best modules
Some are better than others, but it depends on play style
>Best upgrade kit mods
Depends on gun, though generally the "no damage drop off" "Hyper-accelerator" and "twin-link" are almost always good.
Not always though, explosives are actually really bad with hyper-accelerator.

people dont talk about it because they are scared faggots who refuse to admit they enjoy sseth's content.

Personally i just like not picking any starter modules except for perhaps one item module if it is useful for the class and a class module in the +25% power slot. I like getting a couple random class modules with higher power while playing
Upgrade kit mods really depend on the weapon and class you are playing

>Depends on gun, though generally the "no damage drop off" "Hyper-accelerator" and "twin-link" are almost always good.
Yeah I picked up on that. Having no damage falloff + piercing pretty much makes any gun into a crowd controlling machine. I assume having access to soft point rounds would make it even better with the stuns

oh shit. it kinda feels good people are struggling worse than me.
with the hacking boss just focus on taking down reinforcements. you dont have to stay by the objective. just zip around.

Yeah I was wondering if the enemies just kept spawning endlessly, so I always tried to finish the hacking ASAP

>new to the game
>can't make it past 2-3 levels
>decide to hop on multiplayer
>lvl 1 commando
>a level 49 engineer joins and turns on all the difficulty modifiers
>proceeds to carry my ass through the whole game, and halfway through the next loop
>come out level 15

It took a little bit to get used to the combat since I've spent so long playing Nuclear Throne and Gungeon, but Synthetik is really fun. It feels really good to dash around and merc big mobs.

Attached: catman.jpg (640x640, 74.49K)

nuclear throne was really good, but i think i prefer synthetik. the pace is faster, somehow. its also somehow more forgiving. lots of panic buttons (breacher, raider)

I've definitely run my course with NT for now. Considering how quickly I can get obliterated in Synthetik it definitely lends itself to a sort of cat-and-mouse approach that's a lot of fun.

Too hard for casual Zig Forums and people that do play it for more than 15 minutes are too busy playing it to post about it

Where do I find these people to play with, then

I have 320 hours in it and am patiently waiting for an update so I don't burn myself out on it.
Best roguelite hands down.

Great game, wish I could mod the weapon sprites on the player though.

I personally play solo because playing this game with a laggy connection for either player is awful and none of my friends that do play seem to be able to get a good connection with each other. You could always just post or join a lobby.

Stopped playing it when Ssethfags rolled in.
