Is No More Heroes 3 gonna be another Sudakino like TSA or soulless but serviceable like NMH2?

Suda's the main writer again, so the story has potential. Gameplay has never been too complex in this series so I doubt they'll fuck that up too.

Why do people hate travis strikes again?

Because they're retards that got filtered by the best gameplay and story in the series.

I'm currently playing through it, and I imagine the primary reason would be gameplay. There's no reason not to spam light attacks when heavies are easily punishable and are mostly conditional. This not only makes the game easy, but incredibly boring. I'm sure the game would have been better received if attacks functioned like the mainline games and you were able to dodge out of your swings. Trying to play it like a traditional NMH is suffering.

If you play smart you can use heavies and skill chips for massive damage, if you're ONLY using light attacks you're playing like a retard.

anybody else repeatedly tap the light-attack button instead of holding it down?
I like doing that better for some reason.

Heavies stop being useful about halfway into the game when the newer enemies have higher stagger values and/or just cancel out of their stagger and retaliate while you're still stuck in the endlag of the second swing.

It also doesn't help that the writing and vn elements reintroduce as stylistic side of suda51 that most NMH fans probably never got to experience. Nothing about Travis Strikes Again screams No More Heroes save the characters, but there isn't anything inherently wrong with that when you take into consideration how surreal and outlandish Travis' story evolves into.

Heavy Jump attacks always worked well for me.

Like I said, playing the game like a traditional NMH is suffering. Grounded Heavy attacks are just not good, and you WILL get punished for using them in "combos". It honestly feels like they wanted to make them cancelable since a lot of the enemies start to de-stagger around the time your second heavy swing's animation nears its end.

I like NMH2 and Killer is Dead. Why is the b-team for grasshopper manufacture so good

KiD had some pretty good combat once you got into the groove, so I hope they find a way to carry some of that over in NHM3.

How the fuck does the connection of NMH to Killer7 work if Mills is dead and Garcian realized his dissociative identity disorder? It's implied that he's still an assassin, right?

iirc the only reference to western capeshit was suda saying that theres going to be thanos tier power level dudes in NMH3.

considering how much of a westaboo suda is, wouldn't surprise me.

There was already a ton of capeshit references in TSA, and the first NMH3 trailer referenced Thanos.

I enjoyed the part of TSA where Travis flat out shit on deadpool for its 4th wall breaking humor while saying that he did that type of humor first.

This is the natural progression. We're now at the point the series is about big hero crossovers. With the previous game having so many characters from different games, it could be possible there's going to be a marvel avengers jab in there (Cue Travis standing with Killer 7, Heinous Crimes Unit, and Mondo)
