>Zig Forums continuously shits on western games for being movies, but games like Yakuza and Person 5 have tons of cutscenes with short combat sections.
>fucking Sakura Wars literally takes an hour to even let you fight in a mech
Retards.
Double standards and fanboys, that's the reason. Me personally, I refuse to give any game leniency. All cutscenes are bad, no matter what. If a game has 0.0000000001 seconds of cutscenes, it deserves to be mocked and ridiculed for it.
because its a 100+ hour game. look at the percentages instead of the raw values. context is important
Textbook cope.
Even if we look at percentages, it's still ~50% of the "game" giving the generous assumption that a playthrough takes 100 hours.
What does this include? Every conversation in the game? Walking around?
but the gameplay actually comes. even if it's broken up or takes a while, it actually comes and it's good.
in sony's moviegames, the gameplay never comes, it's indistinguishable from a cutscene because of how trashy and scripted it is. they're obsessed with making barely interactive movies, not games
>100 hours of walking and clicking through dialogue boxes
What an impressive """"""game"""""".
>barely interactive movies, not games
Which is what Persona and Yakuza are.
seeThere is no gameplay if you need cinematic bullshit to pad out your game. Sell your game without gimmicks and without pandering to hollywood rejects, and then we'll see.
yakuza is very obviously a videogame
t. Never played either game
Hey retard, if you take the game:cutscene ratio of Persona 5 to The Last of Us, even without counting the retarded ladder/crate pushing and pallet surfing it STILL comes out on top.
A videogame, you say? Then why is it so insecure about the lack of quality in its "gameplay" that it feels the need to tack on a terrible story and constant quick time events?
The only good gameplay/cutscene ratio is 100/0. Anything else is fubar.
>yakuza is very obviously a videogame
You said that movie games have gameplay that is indistinguishable from a cutscene, right? Yakuza's combat is entirely cutscene combat.
out of curiosity, how many buttons are pressed in this one segment?
What i if i like both
Persona a shit
Play SMT
Yakuza is pretty much Press X to Awesome: The Game, so one.
You like shitsona? Seriously, my dude?
Das rite
Play SMT4 *
I wish this were the case. Yakuza I spent most of my time doing side activities or random fights, cause the second I start a mission I know it's gonna be "cutscene, run down hallway for battle, cutscene, battle, cutscene, battle"
And none of them are short.
Why is this allowed?
This isn't including all the time spent doing social links, which is just reading dialogue boxes just like the main story.
You dont seriously think people play turn based JRPGs for the gameplay, do you?
>But the gameplay actually comes
And it's 75 hours of 4 people standing in a row using attack and it never changes in any way except sometimes you get a different cutscene before the attack.
Witcher 3 is longer than Persona 5 and clocks in at only 13 hours in movie form
youtube.com
Yeah, instead it's 50 hours of cleaning the same 4 types of "?" of the map in a shitty battle system.
Fuck off ACfag
You're thinking of Yakuza.
I think it doesn't help that Yakuza as a whole, let's be honest, half of the stories in them are any good. So to justify and sit through this is a fucking chore.
Rather than making an ad hominem attack, explain how he's wrong.
Dunno, never played Yakuza. But I know you're beyond retarded if you're trying to defend TW "?" markers.
Only ACfag would make a pic like that
Based schizo.
AC/XV/XBC2+X and Yakuza are all overrated
AC is underrated.
