Slugcat is cute! Sequel when?
Subterranean is fun as the hunter.
I can't imagine that being the case at all. Fucking scavs blocking up tunnels constantly, fucking lizards blocking up tunnels constantly, fucking centipedes, and the longest trek in the game between shelters. Holy fuck, it's impossible if I don't have close to a max length cycle.
And to think, I was gonna play Hunter soon. Not now, fuck that. Or at least, I'm not going Shoreline -> Subterranean.
As hunter you just kill and eat all of the lizards and centipedes.
The hardest part of the game for me was Sky Island.
I was stuck at the bottom of it for three days. It took all of my concentration to get out of that beautiful place.
I think when I do play Hunter, I'm gonna get the infinite cycles mod. So far I've not used any mods to casualize the game, though I've been real tempted to, but I kinda just want to fuck around as Hunter.
Also, time is still the limiting factor. It's not like I'll just be able to kill everything instantly. Still gonna have to rock/spear lizards, wait out scavs, and etc. I'm looking at the map now though, and maybe I should've gone through Drainage System, then back up the Subterranean.
I feel the same way. It's the only mod I run too.
Rain world is already difficult as it is. Hell, I've died at least 20 times MINIMUM at each area.
Also spent about 30 minutes trying to get the red pearl because of the uncooperative deer.
honestly that was the only place where the deer wouldn't work for me. I spent over an hour there.
It would've been neat if there would've been some way to control them, like if there was some food they'd eat that you could find and throw that'd get them to move.
Well, there are those gas bulbs.
Do those get them to move?
They're attracted to them and they'll usually move towards them. Gotta make sure you can get high enough to get on their heads though.
Oh, and you've gotta actually explode them, of course.
Goddammit, I tried using those before but I could never get them to move with them.

A shame I don't listen them in game for a long period of time, usually these themes mean i'm dead.
How can a game with so much music be so quiet?
I mean, 60% of the music is unused, and 90% of the time you don't hear any music that isn't the threat themes for each region.
>plays in Industrial Complex
>song name doesnt mean anything until way later in the game
>huge connotations when you finally know
Great stuff
To me it just makes when the music does play all the more special, like listening to garbage city shuffle or that one song on shaded citadel
>song name doesnt mean anything until way later in the game
>huge connotations when you finally know
What do you mean, like slugcat and all the other creatures being some sort of bioengineered thing to fill an ecological niche?
I've only read some of the pearls, so I don't know that much, just stuff that people have mentioned in passing.
Yeah, I mean exactly that
Just goes to show how fucked the world got
Are we sure it wasn't always like this? Besides the rain of course, but all these creatures roaming around acting the same as they do now.
Favorite overall:
Sundown
Moondown
Random Gods
Well, I remember a Sister Moon dialogue in which she said that slugcat was biologically designed to be a creature that cleans pipes as it goes through them
Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. What could lizards possibly be for? Or scavs?

But what of the lizzers?
The absolute worst.
Some of them are alright, don't go to the outskirts tomorrow.
