anyway I'd steer clear of both Destiny and Escape from Tarkov because both will be huge time sinks and honestly pretty shit and that will not help your backlog
I'm very fond of Resident Evil 2 Remake. If you like horror games that one is a pretty good choice IMO.

I'm assuming you mean nu god of war, it's an ok game, combat can get very repetitive due to the lack of enemies and unique bosses, the story is also nothing to write home about, the valkyrie queen is the highlight of the game

I genuinely dont understand how someone couldn't absolutely miserably burnt out of politics after the last 5 or so years. I want nothing to do with it anymore and even here on Zig Forums its constant fucking politics. Why are people this fucking addicted to it? I dont remember it being this bad in the '00's
not OP, but the reason people talk about politics is that it gives them something to talk about. People really like to bond over and fight over things and politics is the perfect fuel for that. That said, I don't think you really lose friends from talking politics-- you can lose acquaintances though

Tarkov is fun, I don't dedicate crazy time to it, but I like doing random runs now and again.
I'm burning out a bit on Destiny. Dumped a lot of time into it near the end of the season to catch up, but then kinda lost one of the people I'd run a raid with, so motivation for its kinda at a low anyway.
Horror games are a genre I don't play enough of, but RE2R looks good. Its just been sitting there on steam since I snagged it on a sale.
It is lookin like some Yakuza might be in my future.

I have played a decent bit of Yakuza 0. I enjoy the combat quite a bit. There some things that could use some tweaking though, but I enjoy it.
Got AC7 at a sale with RE2R. Played about an hour. Honestly like it a lot more than I expected. But I didn't dive too deep as I was finishing FF7 Remake.
