How do I not be shit at this?

keep your fucking mouse at head level at all times. there you are now INSTANTLY better than 75% of the player base.

unironically go csgo.
it's valorant without the use of abilities.
When you get the hang of it, go back to valorant.
But this time, learn to use the abilities to help you.
In the end of the day, it's all about shooting.

Actually train your aim, learn map inside and out, think at all times where all enemies could be, hold good angles, wait/issue your own recon, etc.

Valorant maybe one of the most souless game I have played in years.

can you communicate in actual language? or is all you can ever posit into a discussion your opinion, but you can't just say you don't like you have to say the most nondescript phrase that you saw someone else a million times and you think you're cool cause you got to use it to describe something you don't like

Uninstall Vanguard, load up some hacks, then pop some heads.

is this how csgo fags are coping now?

Sure fag , theirs absolutely nothing original and engaging about it . The character designs are bland and the weapons all look and sound fairly similar compared to say counter strike.

Do you want me to go on?

Idk about him, but I do. Valorant is literally more fun whilst staying the same competitive level as CS.

More fun than no fun is hardly an accomplishment.

Warm up. This game has a nice shooting range, go there 20 mins or so before going in game and pop heads/learn recoil patterns. Hold your angles, especially in defense. Don't push like a retard unless you have all infos, there will most often be a lurker in the T, don't run in because 3/4 of them show on one side. Hold your crosshair at head level when you move.

And then best advice: TURN YOUR FUCKING VOLUME UP AND LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE RUNNING LIKE WILD RABBITS INSTEAD OF WALKING. Don't rush them, let them get in your crosshairs.

Are you retarded? If a game can stay as competitive as the other, yet be more creative and more fun, it's an extremely big boost.

I was golden AK two in CSGO and can firmly say Valorant has nothing that makes me want to play it. Half the time people dont even bother to use abilities even.

This desu. Shooters are all about saving pixels of movement compared to the opponent and reaction before firing.
Think about all the guys that play the game looking 30ยบ to the ground as if they were doing some flora inspection. If that person sees you in his screen he has to do the whole motion of aiming at you before shooting. If you saw him as well and you were looking at head level instead of looking at the ground you already have some kind of tempo advantage to him.

I think LE was the highest I reached, maybe I was in LEM for a day or two, but I've decided to move to Valorant. After 2k hours of it, and then shit ton of hours on 1.6 when I was 7-9, you realize how boring CS has become. There are no new ways you can play. You can get better at correct nades, timing, decision making, and of course aiming, but now you can do that in Valorant too, additionally we have abilities. Sure they might not get used much for now, but wait until ranked starts and you're in the higher brackets of play. These abilities will become crucial and offer insane amount of new potential. The game will never get boring either since there will be new agents joining. As long as they don't make the game unplayable by having too many healers/shields, the game will thrive.

because the abilities are pretty lackluster
The only standout ones are sage for reviving and reyna is stupidly strong all around with insane healing

Load up the range and shoot a wall with all the weapons to observe their spray pattern. Also there's no recovery time for accuracy so if you're running around and find someone just let go of the movement key and flick to their head. No need to slow walk or let the aim settle.

I don't know man. I've been playing CS since its 1.3 version. I tried every shooter and none ever made me reconsider playing CS but Valorant, I don't know what it is but it just feels right.

What do you main user? Sova like the chad you are, or do you prefer to be fairly beta?

My biggest issue is identity , like why does every single gun look and sound so ridiculously similar. You recognize the sound of and AWP because its iconic .

I play mostly Sova and Breacher but Cypher too to some degree.
The whole arrow-bouncing shenanigas is mad fun to me.

That's exactly why I picked him up, very fun and it almost feels like you will never have two of the same rounds with him ever. I was always trash at nades in CS though, so I should probably start learning and memorizing the common spots to recon at the start or middle of the round. Maybe keep a notepad or something.

Honestly I unironically searched in google to see if there was a way to put CS sounds in the game. THAT is probably one of my only issues against the game but honestly after a hunred games you just "learn" the different sounds.

Reminder that this "game" is merely a vehicle for chinese spyware

does valorant still have the kernel level spyware installed or they do something about it?

play a better game

THIS. Pre-aiming is huge. The more you play these kinds of games the more you'll develop a sense of where people could be and when they can be there. You gotta nail down all the basics: headshot level around the map, popular engagement points, angles, where and how to use abilities. After you nail the basics, you'll WANT to be more creative with that interplay between those things. Then you'll start to develop a bit of a flowchart, like, I just got away with X which means I can probably get away with Y.

At the end of the day you just gotta practice. The only constant variable in every match you play is you.

Ever heard of this game called "Counter-Strike"?
Play as if it was that game.

>kernel level spyware from a user level application

?

by default they installed a anticheat program that runs everytime you boot up your comp even when not playing valorant
it runs on the kernel level aka a rootkit
