You can play online with randos but it's not great, it seems like it fires up a lobby once there are two people but then it only waits like 60 seconds for the other two seats to fill. Every time I've played it there have been bots in at least one seat.

It's a fantastic single player client though, great for learning the game

I figured out why online is soo slow. The games are kept in lock step, because each person's system sends verification code to every other system to verify moves. Each system is basically doing server level checking.

I see a lot of complaints about online but I've never had straight up lag, just a slight input delay on games like soccer, baseball, tennis, etc
