Level up

This shit's the worst when you can level up with full HP and suddenly have a portion of your HP missing because it doesn't even compensate you the gained amount.
Bonus shittery if it can push you out of a health threshold needed for a stat boost.

>1 hp
>level up
>die

>level up
>shows a bunch of stats that have the potential to go up that I have no control over but the only one that goes up is HP

>boss kills a party member
>it levels up and heals to full

>level up
>enemies also level up

At this point why not just give the player Tangible rewards instead of just numbers

>HP/MP are restored on level up
>can choose to save the level for a situation where you need a full heal while still gaining xp for more levels

>level up
>every quest you were working on becomes worthless

Player must have the choice to go anywhere he wants and having constant monster level would make enemies too hard in some places

>Level up.

>level up
God, RPGs are so fucking basic.

> level up
> stats go down

It's a challenge

>you hit max level before the end of the game without even grinding

>get hit
>level down

>get hit
>penis goes up

>Level up
>Given option of three stats
>Stat 1: +1
>Stat 2: +1
>Stat 3: +30

>These options cycle the off-balance one every level up
>The order they are cycled in is pre-determined and identical every playthrough

Where is she from?

Every game with a female protagonist

I had an idea for that in an RPG Maker game. Create a secret character that has max stats at level 1, but at level 99, their stats are bare minimum. This means that every battle starting from mid-game would level them up, and decrease their stats a little. Difficult encounters could be dealt with easily, but their stats would keep going down. Hard boss fight? Sure they could do it, but the amount of EXP might make them level up 10 times. So the idea is save the character for when you truly need them. I thought it was a neat gimmick but probably ultimately stupid.
