SRB2 is good; there's also SRB2Kart, P-06, Sonic World, and Sonic GT is shaping up nicely as well. Sonic Studio's gonna be great and I'm not sure if Project Hero is on hiatus or not. And then there's Sonic Advance Revamped but I'm pretty sure that's on hiatus, the demo's fun though. Sonic Storm has a great aesthetic but I don't think it's got a demo yet.
There's tons of good stuff out there.

Cool, well written character (at least written better than most), great design and cute. Rush is pretty good but not great, it's a little more style over substance but is def good for at least one clear. Never played Adventure but I heard it's a little better but with grinding and ship sailing, also no Naganuma music. 06 she was paired with silver which tainted her a bit but she's still pretty cool.

Not really, it clearly looks to be taking the same design concept as the boost from Advance 2. Sonic clearly appears to speed up and gain the same effect as boosting in that game, faster top speed, acceleration etc.
