Gambling dude.
>buying games
lol, what retards
Final Fantasy War of the Visions. As far as mobile games go its solid.
>What the fuck are people playing that costs so much money?
rolling for loot boxes in trash clickfests.
It's just gambling.
Literally gambling, but for fake gems or pictures instead of real money. Many players are over 40 and have no other hobbies to spend money on.
it's the gachafags
Or you know, families, because women are all used up and not fit for marriage
Ok, incel.
Phone """gamers"""" are literally subhuman
>be middle income
>have family, kids, house, dog, two SUVs
>only have certain amount of hours in a day but have tons of disposable dosh
>pay extra to advance in mobile vidya quickly
My time > a few dollars. Imagine others feel the same, hence the growing industry.
Free games that slowly mentally condition its player into spending money. They start off by giving you tons of free in-game money, more free money every week, but you waste it all on 0.2% rates to most likely fail to summon the character you want. That character might not be able to be summoned again for 2 years, but if you want another chance before time runs out, it will cost you $25USD minimum -- for the same 0.2% rate.
Most people say "fuck it, I'll wait for another chance next time", and never spend a dime on that game. Others pour money chasing losses like a gambler at vegas. I've seen comments on the FGO wiki thread where people are saying they spent $600 trying to get the summon they want. Now think about that exact game mechanic being used in almost every mobile game popular today. That's how it got to 49 billion per year.
You think it's all those waifu fags paying for cute anime girls but these companies make more money from moms and grandmas buying Candy crush Boosters.
Mobile games wouldn't be so bad if the fucking stores actually let you make proper searches, I still can't believe we're in 2020 and no one has a problem with Google Play not implementing and filters on the search.
Why do the Nip/Chink games get all the blame when America has a shit ton of pay2win mobile games too?
it's normies spending small chunks of money in many instances in games that are designed with that in mind. its disgusting
theb there's also a handful of devs who are making actually good games that are suited for phones, like VNs, text adventures, minigame collections and puzzlers
Anything and everything with microtransactions, chief among them being gacha and probably Fortnite.
Well lets see to top grossing on google play is.
Oh its Casino shit where you put in money but don't get any back (lmao just play real slots).
Lets open one. Oh look they a have facebook leaderboard & white women are at the top of them all.
>research from GoldenCasinoNews
this is like trusting the report from the casino that said all gamers would be fat hunchbacks in 20 years. In all seriousness, it's probably just gacha shit and microtransactions, mobile games don't have the stigma associated with putting in game sales in a $60 PC or console game
I don't mind paying $1-5 dollars to remove ads, especially with google rewards constantly giving me monopoly money. I think I got like $150 over time
Considering it's Japan/China/korea driving those numbers it's more like:
>Be educated with a decent job/decent income
>No wife/children (yet), likely still living with parents or renting a small place.
>Food/Bills inexpensive. Not much vacation/travelling because Asia.
>TONS of disposable income
>Spend on Gacha and other form of entertainment.
Most top grossing games aren't really those played by the average dude with a wife, 2 SUV, a house and kids outside maybe Candy Crush. It's stuff like FGO, Monster Strike, PUBG Mobile, Lineage M that are driving the industry.
Because there's not nearly as much shit junk F2P games in the West. America either releases AAA or indie games without much in between. The occasional AAA game has cosmetics and other shit, but basically it's everywhere in Asia.
>PUBG Mobile
Not sure if it's the same. Nowadays these games, and most pc games, do the $10 season pass. But it makes sense that retards want a neon pink skin for a gun and spend extra to get it. I almost bought a $10 pack on cod for a cthulhu charm
I think it's just buying an abundance of really cheap small games that adds up. AAA is the premium expensive blockbuster stuff that takes years and millions to make .
Whats your tranny name, user?
Swallera
The people who spend money on mobile games spend a lot of money on mobile games. I know a girl who spends somewhere around $1000 a month on arkknights.
I think this is the worst part, it isn't grandmas that don't know better playing online bingo or bored housewives playing facebook games, it's exactly the demographic that probably knows and play real games and even then decides to throw money in the trash
PUBG Mobile is just up there because of China, the sheer amount of players makes it profitable even if it doesn't need people to spend crazy amount of money on it like FGO. It's like Candy Crush, you won't find that many Candy Crush whales, but the sheer amount of occasional spenders (
Sounds to me more like they are impulsefags who cannot control their spending spree
