find something that's actually valid to bitch about.

>look down
>no feet
>look forward

They had this shit in games over 20 years ago

this one vr game has better graphics then most games being released today luhmao its only a matter of time before you nonvrlets run out of non vr games to play lol

this game could have been great but instead it was meh as hell

>look backwards
>no head

And it was just as pointless

>look down
>no pussi
that's gonna be yikes for me holmes

Big reason why I won't play it

I know you're being a retard on purpose, but valve actually tested showing full arms and it made players more uneasy because the arms didn't match up with their real motion so well.

valve also tested and thought it was a good idea to design a game around teleporting to move.

I played the whole game with smooth locomotion, what are you gonna complain about next?

Doesn't matter what you played it with. The level design and encounter design was still designed around the limitations of teleport to move, just like when a PC game gets dumbed down to work on a controller.

>look out
>no games

Imagine wasting 1000$ for no games

I thought this system to put in a new... Cell? Into this firearm was a bit silly

stand in one place and shoot THE GAME
nigga you dropped serious cash just to play Time Crisis with a retard helmet on

this is a standard VR thing, it reduces motion sickness a ton, leading to longer play sessions and higher attachment rate

Time Crisis with helmets sounds fucking cool ngl

wow you played the whole game stood in place pushing a joystick, what a revolution in gaming lmao, we've never been able to move around with joysticks before.

>look down
>just a pair of tits an a disembodied arm

>another thread where Zig Forums discusses a game they haven't played

It also completely defeats the point of VR, which is immersion(because teleporting is so immersive right?), and imposes detrimental rules on game design

VR will never be good as long as it keeps catering to motion-sick prone retards.

Another flatscreener talking shit.
Pottery.

are you being intentionally retarded or were you just born that way?

>play the game as a six-foot roided out muscleman
>the game now has to give alyx's model your exact proportions

yes

vr is a meme, the day a vr game wins GOTY is when I quit gaming

As long as the game doesn't track your feet, it would just need the distance between your head and your hands go get it right. Obviously the floor in-game would be closer to your floor IRL but additional scaling with the camera can fix even that, so its not like you need to be Alyx's actual height to make it work.

This user is right. VR has had so much potential, but it's always wasted on dumb methods of movement. Room scale was supposed to be this huge thing where you get to actually move around the environment and interact with the world. The way this is implemented in VR games is strangely ironic. All of the different methods of locomotion are contrary to what room scale is meant to be.

Why have room scale if you're just meant to teleport everywhere or move with a joystick? Room scale is nowhere near the potential it could be at because of this. Some games have tried to do more interesting methods of locomotion, like by making you grab onto things in the world and "pulling" yourself towards them. However this is a very limited method of movement, although it is very creatively applied in the games that have done it.

VR won't ever reach full potential until developers stop trying to make games around motion sick idiots, and this is coming from a person who bought a DK2 back in 2013 and pre-ordered the CV1 and touch controllers. I hope that one day the games will go beyond "stand in one spot and occasionally crouch down", but I fear that is a long way off.

we need holodecks NOWWWWWWW

ok user now i just need to insert this wire into your brain
