It just isn't fun anymore

You're not 12 anymore.

Neither is shitposting, but Zig Forums won't stop playing at that either.

Quickplay makes me want to rip my controller to pieces with all those tryhard Luigis, Falcons, etc.

Character reveals are amazingly fun and the shitposting beforehand is great. Once all of the characters are known, it’s just boring. Playing the new characters isn’t fun either.

It wasn't really ever fun to begin with. I put in 20 hours and dropped it. The online is dogshit

This isn't your blog

It’s literally the only fun thing to do on this dogshit website

Imagine what it would be like if you could have actual discussions

If I could always have access to online tourney 1v1, I'd like the game that much more. Elite Smash is awful, its just the worst cheese strats and the most busted characters mixed in with a couple of heavies.

this is probably it... I was 13 when smash 4 came out and it was fun as hell in school with friends but I just can't get into ultimate now.

I only play when they put new spirits. Not really in the mood to buy 2nd pass and im not interested in the arms character so its going to be a while before i put some more time in smash

>win a game
>feel vaguely happy though it's usually not even that satisfying because the other player can't work around some cheap shit I'm doing
>lose a game
>literally foam at the mouth frustration over how I only lost because I have zero match up knowledge due to the sheer amount of characters in the game and how it's a complete toss up as to how laggy the game will be every time you play

Why do I even bother with this game when it only brings me stress and anger? Why do I bother with this game when it doesn't respect the time I put into it?

games like these will always have incredible try-hards online, which sucks. better to just play for fun, not worry about winning/losing. ignore GSP and just go for crazy moves.

Just don't play it competitively and if you play it online try to mainly stick to 4-player Smash matches. Otherwise, you'll be on a massive 4-5 month burnout like me.

You belong on twitter, but come here because you can't interact with anyone on there. Go back, neanderthal fuckhead.

You kidding? The other day there was a surge of Shulk players, most likely because of the Xenoblade release, felt refreshing.

This. GSP is by far the worst ranking system ever made in a fighting game.

I think im gonna start playing Banjo online, heard people talking shit about Banjo players never using them

Knowing that my character is ultra gay and makes everyone I beat seethe is what keeps me playing

>ignore GSP and just go for crazy moves

Except you literally can't do this against proficient players. Ultimate loses all spectacle once both players have a solid punish game so anything fancy at all is just unnecessary risk that doesn't play out properly to begin with.

Arena's and casual play are the real reason to go online, GSP sucks and shouldn't be the goal, Elite Smash isn't that good of a title

I am seriously baffled by people that unironically think smash is competitive. Why do you even think about this game in this fashion? It reminds me of those guys literally spiralling into depression trying to become good at fortnite when at its core it was never meant to be a competitive experience. Its a party game, man. Stop trying to be good and just have fun

Completed homerun contest, century smash, all star smash, and classic with every character. Even if online is a bust, there's plenty to do. Got every "achievement", and in the process of having every spirit go thru every dojo.

Can't say I relate.
t. 5000 battles, around 80% Quickplay.

Stopped being fun for me when I got sick of competitivefags. Not their skill level, just the attitude.

I stopped playing 2 weeks after Terry,

Im feeling hungry to go back so im gonna hold off until the Arms fighter releases so i can get a notcieable difference especially since i didn't feel like it during Byleth and was going through a Bootcamp at the time.

That's not a good mentality to have, dare I say its extremely toxic to your mental health and the mental health of everyone around you. Do not be surprised if someone tries to end your life after you kept asking for it

>arms fighter
>releasing
lmfao

Do not even BEGIN to imply that Quickplay makes you any good

>Nothing to do in the game
>DLC is slow and boring as fuck
>Spirit events are lame as shit
>No new modes planned
>No big updates planned
>Booted out of EVO
Game's dying

Also
>Shit online
>It's never getting fixed
Big roster doesn't make a good game

How does this still manage to be fun?
It's not the competitive aspect, I play casually.

You say that but I enjoy all the smash games

The announcement was made with the day in mind and they still said announced and released in June
