You can't. It's either innate or you have to do it throughout your childhood before most of the brain stops developing.

Hate me all you want faggots for telling the truth.

ok but this one's really good

Christ you people are idiots. If you really want to learn how to draw FUCKING READ LOOMIS. He literally breaks it down step for step and explains what the STRATEGY behind drawing is.

Nah fuck that

Excelling (not just getting decent) at anything is pretty much 2 parts nature 1 part nurture/practice

Zoomers will get blackpilled as they persist throughout college and early career when all their most successful friends come from a high achieving bloodline 99% of the time.

Ok fine, you want the shorter version? Draw from life. And when I mean draw from life, I mean really really hard. Like don't just half ass it. Take your time, be careful, measure things. Can't do that? You'll never make it.

there is nothing wrong with using references user

obviously the topic is about drawing, even though the goal is partially to make a video game, so, why is this thread here instead of /ic/?

So what you're saying is... use reference?

STUPID and FAT bat

Just do what other talent less indie devs do, atari tier pixel art.

I don't get it
you're just drawing the same thing over and over, expecting it to look different?

This is clearly some very ambitious performance art project tho

too slow of a board and only one good artist (fisher) if you look at Zig Forumss garyc threads you can see hundreds of good artists here but they dont fucking share any information about how they learned to draw

...

oh no he's back!

Yes.

Draw the Paolumu then you STUPID and FAT anonymous

fun fact: old Zig Forums hated drawfags

Practice bitch.
I've gotten better in 3 months of drawing pixel art.

Start small with a limited palette. Go from there.

maybe it's because drawing is not something that you can do from getting told how to, word by word
start small, to draw a full body, you need to know how to draw various smaller parts (not down to minuscule details), divide and conquer. then work with perspective and put that body onto a canvas to tell a story/idea
it's a long and emotional process to get up there.. but with enough resolve and integrity, it's possible for everyone.
this also applies to other fields too, not just drawing.
