Not really. She's not exactly a safe character but for most of the part she's nothing worth hating so much unless you just hate sexualized women. In fact that's probably a big part of why she took off. The plot relevant girls in FE are usually the same sort of safe vanilla girl, such Eirika or Celica. Camilla is basically that sexy female who is on the villain's side, except she can actually be on your side while also being plot relevant to some degree. Makes her stand out a lot compared to those before her.

And for those who hate her because of her over-exposure in Heroes, that's just cause she makes money. It also balances out because she's never really especially strong, since IS doesn't actually seem to favor her that much.

3H has legit good writing for many characters. You don't need to be a major contrarian just because the game is popular and it's maps aren't Conquest Lunatic.

Treehouse fucked so much up. It's like they tried their hardest to make her unlikable, but even with that meddling she's still the best

Are they? I think they are among the worst of Felix's supports, when many of his are pretty good.

Yeah the Treehouse dub put a lot more emphasis on her as a mother figure to Corrin for some reason. Probably to try and dissuade people from marrying her. They also gave her a granny voice, though her's wasn't the only one that they fucked up.

One thing that the West really just missed out on was the DLC convos. Treehouse was either too lazy or it was assumed they just wouldn't be profitable, but the marriage convo with Camilla there really emphasizes that, for however sexually aggressive and somewhat yandere she comes across as, she's actually pretty damn wholesome as a wife.

Most still like her but reddit and serenes absolutely loathe her since she is sexy and popular. When the TH leaked here lots of them came over and stuck around to shit things up so they pop in from time to time when not in the general.

Its not an issue of sexualizing characters (i’m a tiki and lyn fan myself), but there is a such thing as over-sexualization. she’s just obvious coom-pandering. That first cut scene where she’s introduced? It was so cringe blatantly aiming for horny virgin shut-ins. I liked her as a character, too bad she was designed so poorly.
