Fighting game characters tend to normally translate well into Smash which is why I think it's both odd and deterring that he's the only one that Sakurai couldn't seem to make work.
That being said if Sakurai does find a way make him work now he'd be a great pick with awesome music.

Outside of that however I get an odd feeling that some of your picks like Doomguy, Ryu and, Rayman are more or less just there for rosterfag cred more then anything.
