Corona bucks have caused pretty much every game to go up in price. Learn to pirate games, it isn't hard or even expensive on old consoles.
It's not even the greatest hits version.
Glad I got that one before its price skyrocketed
wow I might sell my copy, I also have SH3 and God hand which all seem to be going for over 100 each. I've literally not touched the discs for years since emulation works so well.
You should probably hold on to the Silent Hill games for a bit longer. Both SH2 and SH3 sold less than a million copies, Konami lost the source code so they'll never be properly ported, and interest in the old games will skyrocket if SH5 for the PS5 is a thing. Games' price will rise more.
I just checked pricecharting. What in the absolute ever loving fuck. How can you justify paying this?
The Silent Hill games are kind of rare (SH3 sold like 300 thousand copies). Compare that to Resident Evil 4 on the GameCube which alone probably sold more than the entire Silent Hill series. That being said, I sure as fuck wouldn't pay these prices for the games. I'm glad I bought them when they were $20 and $30 respectively.

Whatever price theyre trending at, they have to actually sell at that price for it to "work."
Everyone has extra corona bucks thanks to a stimulus program. People have extra money and are willing to pay more. Just look at auctions for Fire Emblem Path or Radiance. Its near 400 now.

learn how to pricechart, or how to pirate
I'm behind the times for sure. I managed a store way back and we'd see SH 1-3 here and there so I never thought anything of it. I just pop on to see prices on games some days and I'm astounded at what some fucks are paying now.
Jesus.
Not OP, but:
>$70 complete in box
The PS2 library is starting to get expensive, so better start collecting whatever games you have any interest in before the boat sails.
...or wait until thge nostalgiafagging for ps2 stops and will start with the ps3
why silent hilll of all franchises has to start getting rare?
>Just look at auctions for Fire Emblem Path or Radiance. Its near 400 now.
What bugs me about Nintendo games is that they're expensive even if they're not actually rare. Like Pokemon games sell tens of millions copies, so you'd expect them to be at bargain bin prices on eBay, but no, they almost go around for the MSRP for when they released.
nintando always understocks stuff because they are japanese Disney and want to give us urgency
Fools and their money are soon parted. People buy retro games to put them on shelves for reddit karma. The true Übermensch gamer pirates everything except for the rare current era niche games that deserve money to support the developers.
Holy shit I bought this game for $10 in November.
Why is the Xbox version only like $25? Doesn't that version have more content?
will prices ever go down again? my family sold all my fucking PS2 games and I want to get some of them back but not like this
>paying that much for something that is going to succumb to disc rot in the next decade
HOLY FUCK WHAT
>...or wait until thge nostalgiafagging for ps2 stops and will start with the ps3
That never happens. Just look at the SNES library for example, prices for SNES games skyrocketed in 2014-2015 and never went back down. In fact, they only got more expensive.
Already played the pc versions with patches. How come konami doesn’t officially release the Fan patched pc versions on console and steam/gog?
I'm still hodling until the high demand N64 games I have reach 100 bucks each, then I might sell em. I only use a flash cart these days anyway and I own like 100 N64 games from back when they were low in price.
collector/reseller scum can go die
supply->demand
prices are so high for the ps2 version because it's the one version that people can play with emulators
thank god I'm making a rom/iso collection
Good thing I got it before the price started blowing up.
>prices are so high for the ps2 version because it's the one version that people can play with emulators
???
unless it's a special edition that comes with cool physical shit what's the point? just mod your ps2 or use that money to build a beter pc and emulate it
or play the PC ports, which are pretty good
I just like to own boxes for games I like. I could obviously mod and play any game I want, but it just feels kinda soulless. I also feel more motivated to finish a game when I pay for it and don't have an infinite selection.
>next decade
They probably already are since they were owned mostly by niggers.
>a plastic box with a colorful paper has more soul than the content of the actual videogame
leave this place for a moment
Yes, a box with a disc containing the game has more soul than an iso in a list
Unfortunately, no. I suggest you use the pricechart website to keep an eye out on the games you want before they start rising up in price. genres like: action games, shoot'em ups, (especially) Survival Horror, rhythm games tend to be the most expensive to collect for. there's still a lot of good shit on the PS2 that's cheap
even 3ds games are skyrocketing
this is why you go to your local classic game store instead of online you fools
I find this very stupid desu just play the fucking game
you can still buy cheap dvds and burn the isos if you want to. it's cheaper than giving a random kid 50 bucks for a game you can get for free
