Yeah
easily one of the best horror games of the past decade
No, but it was really good.
That being said i really cannot bring myself to play it again. The only horror game that has good replayability to me is SH2 and Outlast 1
Apart from the rubberband alien AI and how much it started to drag on, it was pretty damn good.
too much android parts
You are becoming hysterical.
fpbp
pretty much. its flaws are about the same as most other horror games and its heights are some of the greatest
It was an instant masterpiece for me when I played it in 2018.
Ultrawide + Chromatic Aberration Off.
Pity it took it going on a ridiculously low sale to get people talking about it.
For me, I would have liked it if the game had more friendly living human NPC enclaves.
The colonial marshals office was not bad, but I would have preferred even more friendly/safe territories.
Sevastopol is one of the most beautiful, comfy, well-realized settings in the medium.
You haven't lived until you've played Nightmare, No Music, Unpredictable Alien mod.
>all the horror taking place on that tiny station as emphasized by the comparison with the gas giant
>that remixed original alien theme

greatest main menu ever, game was pretty good as well
that poor woman always stuck out to me, just sitting there waiting to be killed. in most other games it would be a throwaway, but this game builds the setting so well it sticks out
Too long.
Maybe I'm getting her confused with someone else, but I seem to remember you could talk to her and tell her to head to the colonial marshal's office. There were at least three NPCs scattered around after you first reach and leave the office that you could interact with and tell them to head to safety.
These two NPCs I'm sure were supposed to be enemies but I walked right up to them and they didn't do anything, at least until the alien spawned nearby then they fought it and died.
huh, maybe my game was glitched. she gave me the impression of someone who had given up just sitting there staring into literal space
Isn't this basically a glorified hide and seek game tho?
you can say glorified x y z anything doesnt stop it from being a good game
And it only had like, 1 (one) monster.
Yes. It felt like a call back to old school survival horror. Pretty janky but great atmosphere. Im sad it took me so long to play it.
There are human enemies and robot enemies in addition to the monsters.
hmmm... that's better.
