I am not emotionally or physically prepared to conquer such a game but I'm trying anyway. I've made a huge mistake

how would you physically prepare yourself? sleep better?

Be sure to keep notes or you will lose

Was thinking of pirating this today because the switch version is so overpriced

I can't really be fucked to beat such a walkthrough-bait game.

shut the fuck up

you shut the fuck up you triple nigger

Ok, but only if you kys first

lmao

This is literally the most based game I've ever played

Yes.

I like the first one the most, but I think the most fun I ever had playing vidya was playing 2 on release, actually keeping good notes and drawing maps and trying to solve the game together with Zig Forums

It is a really great game. The sequel is arguably better mechanically, but nothing will top your first experience of playing La-Mulana.

>tfw the randomizer starts you out in the Tower of Ruin
>all the exits randomized to go to various endgame areas
It took me so fucking long to finally find the surface

Just use the wiki if you're that stuck.

You can do it. Just don't give up!
...Until that waterfall door bit. Man that was bullshit.

Multiple times I bit the bullet and used spoiler free guides to get me unstuck
It got to a point where every move I made I would get stuck and had to look at the guide again
Around 50 hours in, I was just follwing guides for every step, gave up at that point since why bother playing if I'm at whims of a guide
Probably the first time where I actually felt defeated by a game. Some games I would give up because I didn't want to bother playing some part and I knew I could get pass it if I just put some time into it. La-Mulana however completely broke me
And I have a shit ton of pages full of notes
I tried, I really tried

It's okay, the important thing is you've tried your best.
Also, hehe at lemeza chillaxing in the pool

I feel you
I held on for a long time but the Chamber of Birth just broke me. Had to start looking shit up there.

>Trying to get my friends to try it for the first time so I can experience it again via their first time.

>They're fucking idiots and complain the whole time through the gate of guidance.

Wait, Gate of Guidance? What kind of braindead friends do you have?

I actually had 1 friend play through the entire thing, it was amazing. I did give hints when he wanted for general direction (you should probably try to solve this puzzle now) so we wouldn't get omegastuck for hours, but yeah was really fun.

It's okay, some of the puzzles are straight bullshit and some don't even give clues, forcing you to wander and hope you noticed a pixel that's now different. Then everyone comes to Zig Forums and pretends that they didn't have to consult a walkthrough at any point. I heard that the sequel was less bullshit.

>some don't even give clues
Nah, everything has a hint. It's just some hints are really difficult to find.
I won't argue that keeping track of things is hard and that most people who say they beat it without a guide are probably not including straight pointers they got from others.

what mistake?
don't look through guides
there is one or two bullshit places in this game but still do your first playthrough blindly

>some don't even give clues, forcing you to wander and hope you noticed a pixel that's now different
Nah, this is bait

Playa the free version.

Literally no one ever beat it without a guide.

Untrue

I mean, someone must have. Someone beat it first.

If you keep notes, keep notes of absolutely everything. It's annoying as hell when you get to some puzzle, read the clue, know that you need to do X to proceed, remember that you have read about thing X somewhere but have no idea where the stone tablet was.

of course I did, both games
take notes nigga

2>1

I beat the second one without a guide. For the first game, I used a guide for the wedges. That being said, I did almost zero notekeeping in the first game and just bruteforced it that far.

O shit here come dat boi

Take your time. The studio swore they'd never make a sequel and there's nothing else like La Mulana 1 & 2 in the world.

Reminder that a free version exist and is available.
