Yes. I bought the Rocket Jumper in TF2 (I think it was $1.) No regrets.
It wasn't always F2P. Even if you spent that on TF2 after it was F2P I'd still say it's a reasonable price for such an amazing game.

Yeah, when I was younger I bought a robot scorpion mount in an MMO. It was dumb and my mom was right when I look back, but I don't regret it because I've used that mount for an absurd amount of time just for getting around and I still play the MMO casually.

About 120 on TF2 keys, but that was a long time ago and I vowed to never spend a dime on microtransactions ever again.
And I haven't. In fact, sometimes I'll reject even playing a game that's free because it has MTX in it, even if I was initially looking forward to it.
