He's right you know. FFXIV is inherently political.
He's right you know. FFXIV is inherently political
I hate mhiggers
I like how every Empire in History is retroactive fascist according with some people.
Why are these retards unable to understand the difference between made up fantasy governments, kingdoms, etc. that only serve the purpose of the game's story, and political stories that are meant to be analogies to the creator's actual real world political views?
stop posting screencaps of your tweets you fucking nigger
But Garleans did nothing wrong and everyone loves them. It became such a problem that Square had to retcon the empire into being created as part of an Ascian Keikaku to merge their world and then they fucked up again by making Ascians more likeable than the protagonists.
Isn't the Empire in the right by virtue of those savages summoning their gods to destroy the world?
Are people truly incapable separating fictional stories from things that happen in real life?
Stories taking ideas and concepts from the real world shouldn't be surprising to anyone ever, but at the same time these stories are fiction. Sometimes they do try to tell their readers something, but other times a cigar is just a cigar.
"Fascism is bad" is not political. Safe opinions that everyone already shares aren't political. Something is political if does one of the following:
A. Actively encourages change on society (without directly calling our own society fascist, it's not doing this)
B. Actively discourages change on society (A lack of deviating from the status quo doesn't count as this. It has to be actively going out of its way to quash deviations from the status quo.)
If you don't accept that definition, then I disagree with you.
I wonder why these weak soiboys and disgusting whores from the left can't understand that FANTASY != REALITY. No, Voldemort isn't Trump.
They're just mad because they're aetherlets.

>DUDE THE GAME CONTAINS POLITICS THEREFORE IT'S POLITICAL!!!!
Not really. Having political content isn't the same as having a political message. Just because Andrew Ryan is an anagram of Ayn Rand doesn't mean Bioshock is 'about' objectivitism. It's about shooting mutants in the face.
I mean everything is politics if you frame it all a certain way but that doesn't mean "evil is bad" is somehow noteworthy of a statement.
The entire story is basically about cycles. Humans come about moving deeper and deeper into historically beast tribe held lands, the beast tribes summon primals to fight back. Humans fight the primals, they sacrifice more to summon stronger primals.
FF14 is political as fuck. Anyone claiming otherwise is insane.
A cucked swede and his mudshark of a jewess based on his bio
Serioiusly. Almost every beast tribe you met were fucking assholes who deserved to get nuked outside of the tiny little snowflakes you do crafting quests for.
>fascist empire
Weren't actual Italian fascists basically a Roman Empire larp club? The salutes, the symbols?
"Fascist empire" is like potato flavored potato chips, it's fucking stupid
FFXIV Says fuck trump and has an allegory for trans gay rights.
We stan square enix
So what?
well i mean a big part of fascism is looking back on empires of old as something to aspire to so it's not a huge stretch
>Fantasy can't have complex issues and political problems without being fundamentally related to real world politics.
Yeah man, I love how Garlemald is just a puppet nation made up by aliens who also happen to be our progenitors, all in a bid to remake their homeworld and society by sacrificing our own. Just like real life bros.
>"Fascism is bad" is not political. Safe opinions that everyone already shares aren't political.
You'd think that'd be the case, like saying "Murder is bad", but apparently it's cause for debate these days.
>Safe opinions that everyone already shares aren't political
Of course, comrade.
It would be silly to assume that the teachings from the Worker's Party and Great Leader everyone learns in schools is in any way political. They only have our best interest at heart, why would you doubt them? Those silly American imperialists think that everything that doesn't fit their capitalist agenda is somehow political, when the teachings of Great Leader are merely common sense.
Bahamut's summoning was the White Raven's fault because she was tempered by the Dragon. The Empire hates Eikons and their wish to rid the planet of them plus the Ascians aligns with the Protagonist. The eradication of all beast tribes and subjugation of Eorzea, Doma, Dalmasca etc. is where the friction stems from.
Apolitical doesn't mean morally correct, it just means not motivated by changing society. I'm making no claims about morality or correctness.
ok sure
a good amount of jrpgs I played also portrays refugees are parasitical, ungrateful scum. I guess thats political too. Im pretty sure ffxiv had refugee enemies during the story and that whole sub plot about the ala niggers
I'm starting to think the left has legit autism, being unable to differentiate between (simple) fiction and fictional politics, and (more complex) heavy handed [current year] real world politics.
brb
summoning Shiva to ice these niggers
Of course they have autism. They've got the classic autist trait, which is constantly talking about shit people aren't fucking interested in. That's why they constantly latch onto media, it's because otherwise nobody would give them the time of day otherwise
Based.
Social media was a mistake and we are reaping the consequences of its creation.
Everything is political you idiot even mario and tetris.
>FFXIV is inherently political.
That's pretty fucking obvious with the story of Heavensward and Stormblood. Did anyone even claim otherwise?
I like it when FFXIV gets political
