i think that non vidya characters will happen eventually in smash, but not this game or even one with sakurai as the director, whether it's next game or smash 8. licensed games have been moving away from the shovelware stereotype that have plagued them for years. it would obviously be from a franchise that have had video games that have sold millions and gotten awards. goku and batman are good examples. honestly there isn't much they can lose from this, and there is much they can gain. people are going to be asking for shit like spongebob and shrek no matter what

It's Golgo not Goglo. Also he's based as fuck. The original film from 1983 is a literal schlocky avant-garde thriller masterpiece directed by one of the most important men ever to work in animation. It has very unconventional art direction which accentuates the dreamlike nature of the film itself. It also uses different kinds of animation such as CGI which was unheard of in 1983. Shit like The Simpsons and Toy Story didn't do this until a decade later so the film is ahead of it's time. It was made by the same studio that brought us the masterpiece known as Lupin III and a few years after this movie, the studio went on to make Akira.
