Yeah, it tend to happen with polygons and will likely continue until they start using new types of smart layer maps
>> spend $400 on console + game

Unplayable.
>nintendo is still using polygons
lul
>playing nier automata on xbone
>A2 introductory cutscene in the royal chamber of the forest castle
>her hair is clipping through her sword and body
really immersion breaking when the rest of the game is so polished
The good news is that Nia is literally the best character in Xenoblade 2 and it was unintentional.
>Nier Automata
>Polished
What did he mean by this?
marketing budget is bigger than development budget.
get got, shitter
how am I "got"?
consume
???
I don't have a Switch
Pros:
>Great story
>Beautiful environment
>Fun gameplay
>God tier musics
>Hundreds of side bosses
>Dozens of things to do
>Big panel of waifus to collect, each one having her own side quest
>God tier DLC
Cons:
>Clipping
Literally unplayable, 0/100, waste of time and money
Doesn't Hairworks fix this?
>>Beautiful environment
kek
How do you even see it over sub-540p resolutions?
the nintendo eyes can't see over 368p @ 21 fps
emulation is almost there

>that would be $469,99

It literally is a beautiful environment. It would still be a beautiful environment in 240p. SNES was 240p and had beautiful environments too.
yuzu is making big leaps too
why does Nia sound 42 years old?
Certain kinds of clipping actually work better than realistic effects. Like when an object clips through a character's hair instead of doing realtime physics bullshit.
>>It literally is a beautiful environment. It would still be a beautiful environment in 240p.
Stockholm syndrome?
Even the Wii U could do better
Yeah? It still is.
>PC specs:
>CPU - Intel Core i7 8700K @ 5.0 Ghz
>RAM - G.SKILL 32GB DDR4 3600MHz CL16
>GPU - GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER GAMING OC 8G
>OS - Windows 10 64bit
ah yes, your run of the mill toaster
That's just Monolith pushing the Switch harder because they have no restraint. On the plus side, Nintendo consoles always get good emulators (sans N64).
soon you will be able to play at 4k instead of 368p
>soon you will be able to play at 4k instead of 368p
yeah nvm that it's still at 15 fps on a NASA pc and game has been out for 2 years
botw was running ok on cemu in 6 months...
You only see a2 with long hair once or twice, unless you wear the A2 wig.
And that's 720p too. So by your logic doesn't count either? By your logic literally no environment in any videogame pre-2010 can ever be considered visually good
At the low low cost of $3000
It's only a matter of time, give it a year. It's very impressive that this early in the Switch's lifecycle we have an emulator with fully playable games.
>Implying any Zig Forumsirgin actually has a 4k monitor
minge
>$3000 to play snes/64/ps1/ps2/ps3/xbox/wii/switch/pc/multiplat games at 4k
Seems like fair trade
>Eric is having another meltdown
The environment looks wonderful
>Zig Forums is unable to discuss Xenoblade without shitting on 2 and 1 and bringing up X as a holy grail
I liked X too but lets not pretend it was a better game when one of the core mechanics is soul shouts to recharge overdrive, basically telling you how to fucking play.
Robot combat was fucking atrocious too
>Character models
>>Implying any Zig Forumsirgin actually has a 4k monitor
4k internally
output can still be 1080p and still look better
