Yeah. The jump between update 2 and 3 was pretty drastic in terms of ballance, progression and content.
It's still pretty flawed and clearly still in early access, and the updates come out at a pretty damn glacial pace, so I can't exactly recommend getting it yet.
But they did convince me, if nothing else, that they do have some clue about what they are doing.

Honestly they need to remove the shitty jump puzzles aspect and decide what to do with enemies. As of right now they are just an annoyance to exploration. And aren't anything significant. The factory aspect of the game is passable, but everything surrounding it is such a goddamn chore

Paid like 14 bucks for this during one of those Epic Coupon deals. It's fine, but setting up large amounts of automation becomes really impractical really quickly. Can't tell you how much time I spent just trying to manually craft rotors and reinforced plates because every Iron/Copper deposit within a 10 minute walk from my base wasn't enough to make more than a few dozen a minute.
