For me it's that there was no reward like lootboxes for playing Quickplay, the only mode I had fun playing. Only for ranked, and those shitty arcade modes.

2/3 roles aren't assassins. While 2/3rds of the heroes are damage dealers. This ruins it. At least in League of Legends, they put assassin elements into the support role so retards who only play mid or top would enjoy the support role.

Went from 2-3 minute competitive queues where I could flex to what was needed, to 10-15 minute queues to play DPS just to lose in 6 minutes because the tank and heals only queued tanks / heals for the instant queue, not to actually play those roles.
I have absolutely no fucking idea what they were thinking bringing 222 to live. I get why they added it to OWL, but bringing it to live was the biggest mistake they made since the core game design of everything revolving around ultimates.
Also, they had a chance with Overwatch 2 to fix everything wrong with the first game and fundamentally change the way the battles work by drastically changing ultimates and reworking some key characters, but instead it's going to be glorified PVE DLC and an engine upgrade with fancier lighting. Between 222 and Overwatch 2 being Overwatch 2.0 the game is dead in my eyes.
Game balance is awful, if two teams are of equal skill, the teams still need specific heros to win otherwise they will lose. This results in mirror matches constantly with maybe one hero difference. Also, hidden MMR for QP has always been retarded.

Playing the game? Besides the pretty visuals, exciting music and fluffy demeanor, there's not much there is there? Just cog-in-the-machine gameplay, classes balanced to shit with their rock/paper/scissors design. Tracers and Genjis fucking up the entire gameplay, and because they're too pussies to redesign those hyper mobility characters now, we get autoaim noskill bullshit like Brigitte and Moira among many others in a desperate attempt to cancel them. But they fail miserably.
In short, Overwatch did what virtue signaling companies and SJW's are wont to do: They try to include everyone, which means they really match no-one at all. Every singular enjoyable aspect from Overwatch is done better by another game focusing on that exclusively.
The toxic as shit community doesn't help either.

Blizzard actively likes to punish people by adding new content. First DPS players when they added Brig (caused GOATS, then 2-2-2), then Tank players when they added Sigma (caused Double Shield and Shield nerfs). And this has been happening since launch, even Ana caused Triple Tank comps until she was nerfed and then they were actually gone.

It has, unironically, some of the worst designed maps in any FPS I've ever played, since all the way back to oldschool doom/quake/goldeneye days. It's completely baffling to me how poorly some of them are designed, and how some of them are designed around specific characters being more useful than others.

It is, and it's a large part of why Competitive queue in Overwatch is an absolute joke unless you're running a 6 stack. It wasn't ever the best, but the first half dozen seasons or so until they put 222 in were at least fun and still carried the core spirit of the game which is

I was mainly a flex player, but I absolutely loved solo tanking as Rein/Hog or solo healing as Moira/Ana, opening up our team to run 3 or even 4 DPS to overrun the enemy with damage.
But nope, can't have strats like that anymore because too many people on the forums were crying about 6 dps games that happened once in a blue moon.

The problem with OW is just that people want something like TF2 but Blizzard just does whatever and doesn't realise that that is what people want.
