Why does tekken need 6000 moves for one character when pic related is one of the best fighting games ever made and only has like 25 moves per character, and every move is choreographed in such a way you know if it's gonna hit over head, middle, or under so you can block/parry it appropriately.

Damage levels are sorta high now for most characters but otherwise it hasn't changed as dramatically as some people will try to lead you to believe

not fun, but looks really good for a fighting game. Tekken has always been a series that takes itself too seriously so every character looks like ass even if they are mean't to be "comic relief" If you enjoy learning hundreds of moves for every character and their frame data and mix ups then sure it's fun, if you wish to play casually have fun getting juggled for the mistake of thinking a move in animation is punishable but it's not

Except all the new characters quite literally have like 3 button wall carries that do half HP for no reason, while every other character has to put work into their wall carries cause Harada can't make games

Most of the characters 4 and after suck shit design wise, and the new costume designs for the older ones are weak too

It's not that many moves, a lot of the command list just shows how some different moves can connect or transition into each other
It has more moves than SF because there's OTG moves, moves done while sidestep and also almost every character has at least one stance. You can learn your own character pretty quickly and you learn others by playing the game

The reason he deserves to be in is because he's highly requested and has a moveset that could work for the game with people very much likely playing him. If Noctis wasn't in then i'd say tifa deserved to be in the game as well.

literally the game would be better off if it just deleted all the post T5:DR characters

there are people in blue ranks who lack fundamentals and you could eventually beat them in long sets by figuring out their flowchart
or by mashing gimmicks they don't know about

I played 1-6 + Dead Souls, have played any of the ones released after that or the Japan-only ones. Used to really love the series but at best they're a guilty pleasure and objectively really badly designed games. Nevermind the asset reusage, it's basically the same plots rehashed over and over again with a new cast who themselves are recycled versions of earlier casts. If a western studio were the developers but the games were otherwise exactly the same they'd get way more criticism on here and you know it.
