It's just annoying to see it as a 10/10.
It's a strong 8 to a strong 9 type of game. Very good, but it's no masterpiece. I do really hope that the sequel will demolish this shit with actual enemy and shrine variety.

Most enjoyable open world game i've played, i discovered everything organically through experimentation, not by running after icons dotted around the map. Would be perfect if weapons could be crafted and repaired, with higher durability. Dungeons and enemies could use some variety for the sequel.

Nah, fuck pretty much all AAA games.
I don't think games can ever really reach masterpiece potential. The only game with genuinely no flaws to me is Celeste, because I don't care that the main character is a tranny.
There are of course other extremely good games, like, for example, Terraria, but you can usually find flaws in all of them, like the simplistic enemy AI or summoner still not being viable (my pure summoner master mode playthrough isn't going well)

I see more posts about how BotW makes everybody super angry, than actual posts that are super angry about the game.
