Well I did want the game to be more of a meat grinder than it already is desu.

He blasts you with fire approximately 1.5 seconds unless you use your shitty avatar legs to move behind cover and block his hitscan when the attack resolves.

In case any of you other fucks were being cute and pretending the problem with Arch Vile is the resurrection and not his fire blast he's doing this in all the games. God save your miserable soul if you're playing a top-down strategy.

Luckly, he's not the only one with long distance targeting magic, so it's doable but still bullshit

This isn't super bad since the game already favors range attacks and there's a lot of cover as long as you're underground. Man, with the Dungeon Defenders treatment I could visualize the Doom2 mobs ported into the game. It'd be very cute.

OP I want you to know this premise really upsets me. Archvile is a rare enemy in his own game and giving him the qualifier of common is really too much even consider the spike of archvile placement in contemporary Doom2 wads, which still keep him strictly in uncommon to rare territories.

I have a lot of health and powerfull guns. Ain't gonna make the game any more fun but it should be doable.

I fucking hate archivles. Pair them up with revenants in some low ammo map and you are far beyond fucked if you are fighting them in a small space
