The only villain who was right was Amon but they ruined it by making him a bender. They shouldve just made him a remarkably skilled human who can permanently take bending away with chi manipulation. Korra also shouldve lost her bending for a majority of the show and relied on air. Unalak was pure shit. The Red Lotus were all “dude anarchy.” Kuvira is barely a villain as shes taking back EK territories that the Gaang wrongly said “lol lets make it a multicultural area.” Everything outside ATLA itself is dogshit jesus christ its unbelievable.

It's so hilariously low-budget. The combat mechanics are completely solid but it just isn't anything special to make up for its lack of content.

Both have incredible demerits. I'd consider the movie to be worse because even though Korra ruins the legacy of the show, the movie directly prevented the show from getting a fourth season. Another point being Korra can at least be entertaining at some points while the movie is like watching paint dry.
