This. I'm actually pretty optimitstic about the 9th gen. All 3 companies are doing well and we might have some legitimate competition going into the 9th gen. One thing is for sure- this is a far cry from the start of the 8th gen where Microsoft and Nintendo both pulled down their pants and took a shit on stage and Sony waltzed into a victory. Whoever wins this time is going to have to work hard for it.

have a ps4 and see no reason to get a ps5 for at least 2-3 years the usual timetable for a sony exclusive to actually finish being made

interested in going back to xbox after skipping them entirely 8th gen back compat and brand new IPs from xbox game studios hopefully produces a or multiple killer apps also I'd get game pass hopefully the rumors are right that it is cheaper than ps5

Xbox: Actually decent first party games come out once in a blue moon, not worth
Sony: Only overhyped movie games with rabid sony larpers and game journalists sucking their dick, not worth if you like fun and original games
Nintendo: Starting to get abhorrently lazy and expensive even though they put out the most worthwhile games out of the 3, disposable controllers that constantly fucking break and garbage online is icing on the cake, not worth

Yeah, usually when people talk about no games, they mean no good first party games. Stadia truly has NOTHING except a few AAA multiplats that got ported as a cash grab after coming out first on other consoles. Stadia is truly Sloppy Seconds: The Platform. Google has created absolutely nothing of value when it comes to original content. Microsoft has no exclusives because of their benevolence towards PC and Nintendo and willingness to port stuff. Stadia has no exclusives because Google simply doesn't make games.

microsoft has been making buying and developing dev studios to make first party AAA exclusives for xbox a lot of which will be brand new IPS

God, I hope they actually do something with it. That gets me excited, as long as they make good, fun games.
