I defend it because I like the few games it has, because it's also a PSP, and because it's near perfect for any sort of emulation I care about.
The only better device for emulation is the switch, but I don't like switch games, and it obviously can't do vita games, so personally the vita is still better.

Great hardware on a handheld, has some great games on it. But 90% of the library is now nip only otaku trash, and Sony did everything in their power to make sure the Vita crashed and burned in a strange powerplay for which the end goal is still unknown.
It also has the best DPad in the last 20 years, but nobody will use it.

>defend it because I like the few games it has
Such as?

Snoys can't handle failure

It was amazing for 2012 but died due to no support and became obsolete quickly

>It was amazing for 2012
How? It had no games

Get new material, it was woefully out of date six years ago. And don't fucking say "list them", because we both know you'll just say it's not enough, or they're all shit, or they're all ports except it's totally cool when you can play something on your switch at 244p and 20fps on the toilet.
You're all tiresome.

>brings up Switch
Why? We're talking about the Vita. Is "b-but Nintendo!" you're only coping mechanism?

Unit 13
Gravity Rush
htoL#NiQ
Skullgirls
Wipeout 2048
Child Of Light
Rogue Legacy
>inb4 not exclusives
yeah, some of those games are also elsewhere, but those are games i prefer playing on a handheld than on a monitor or tv

It was the Switch before the Switch. I don't regret getting mine, it's given me a lot of fun for over half a decade.

Seething shita owner

>mediocre third-person shooter
>a game that's also on PS4
>a game with a staggering 58% on Metacritic
>a game that didn't even come to Vita until years later
>multiplat
>multiplat
So Wipeout 2048 is the one notable Vita exclusive and even then it's on the Wipeout Collection on PS4

it's not about exclusives, it's about portability. before the switch port came out it was the only way to play digimon cyber sleuth on the go for instance

Has some fun weeb games. If you can get a vita for free or cheap its alright.

The 3DS had both portability and a decent library of exclusives. No wonder the Vita flopped

>he judges games by their metacritic scores
Opinion discarded.

i see you read my inb4, good job

i never said it has exclusives, i said i like the game it has, which obviously includes multiplats, but i enjoy those more on a handheld than on a big tv or monitor
and who gives a fuck about metacritic scores, if i like a game i play it, i'm not defending the vita saying it's best console ever and has the best games, i'm defending it cuz i like it and enjoy it, subjective and personal opinion

The Switch has some notable games though

>he names a critically panned game that literally nobody has played or gives a fuck about to try and bolster the library size
Vita discarded
You can like what you like, I'm just trying to get a feel for what Vitafags saw in this system and I'm not being given much enlightenment

Had no right being so good

Goddamn thanks for making me remember SSD.

Because Sony deliberately canned it in favour of the PS4 despite the high sales and potential for future titles.

>You can like what you like
>I'm just trying to get a feel for what Vitafags saw in this system
you're missing the point...
i dobt any vitafag, me included, ever said it's the best system out there...it was a failure, no one denies it, and what we saw in it is exactly that we like what we like

it's like a movie that isn't a commercial success yet it has its niche audience who love it...why they do? because they do, no more reason is necessary, and no one claims it's a good movie, they just say they like it

This is one of the best games ever made and it's still stuck in Vita.

Because I like it and despite the meme it has games I enjoy. Literally the same result you'll get from asking the same thing about Switch/PS5/PC

Playing ps1 games portably is pretty cool, and gravity rush was good. But to be fair i only ever used mine for browsing porn, and after i got a phone for that i never used it again. Man that was a long time ago, ps vita is old now huh?

I can't rememeber the last time I stopped playing a game so I can read all the availavable in game lore for hours. It really was a gem

which ones? Neptunia?

I'm guessing you mean PS4, but people who like those systems are most likely to talk about the exclusives. PCfags obviously have the flexibility, Steam sales etc

I keep seeing people talk about the Dpad so much but can't fathom why they love it so
It's not bad by any means, it's nice, but tell me what's so special about it I'm not getting?

Stop enjoying games, you must exclusively play on PC and be miserable like me!!

cope

>Literally no games

>thousands of PSV games + PSP and PS1 titles
>can emulate dozens of older platforms
>all this in a handheld format

>literally no games
Huh...
Really activates my almonds...

Literally a Wii game. Pretty cool one though. Wish it made its way to other platforms

>defends Vita's hardware
>but shits on the Switch
Dont tell me youre one of those retards that think the Vita is stronger

*no western games
It's a fucking amazing system if you like japanese shit. It's one of my most played consoles/handhelds.
