I bought skyrim again because I have good memories of playing it in 2011 but I don't remember exactly what was fun in that game
enlighten me
I bought skyrim again because I have good memories of playing it in 2011 but I don't remember exactly what was fun in...
>I bought skyrim again
You have done well, my son
It gets a bad rep for being cheesy, but Archery in the elder scrolls games is probably the best out of any games with archery I've played.
It was your first open world RPG
I'm guessing you haven't played a single game with archery in your entire life then, Jesus Christ
This, Skyrim is the quintessential Baby’s First RPG
t. zoomer whose first open world rpg was Skyrim on xbox 360
yeah it was I guess
never really gave a fuck about rpgs in general besides wild arms
Being a pure destruction mage is suffering.
Skyrim is such a deep experience. There are layers of skills and overlapping skills and don't forget hidden skills like cooking and foraging. Every year I boot up this game and play as a different role, First I was mage/warrior hybrid, then I was a pure magician, I even did a stealth assassin. The game completely changes for you and even going through the same dungeons again feels fresh and new again. I seriously love this game, the only thing they could have improved was adding procedural generated locations/dungeons/cities like in daggerfall and this would be the best game in human existence, because it would be actually timeless.
The sex mods so you can ravage your son.
I am currently going full destruction, you have to learn the game mechanics, including alchemy, using ironskin, race abilities, wearing enchanted gear. Melee is easymode, ranger is medium, magic is hard and you should respect that curve.
I just modded it to hell and turned all NPCs into female and gave them dicks; now I have futas running around the world fucking each other like rabbits.
I did this too but unfortunately doesn't mask the fact the game sucks
also I never had the dlc back then
how are they? hows the house building?
spears
oh wait
So then what would you know if you have nothing to compare it to?
Why do people hate on Skyrim? It's a deep game that keeps on giving. Do people hate choice and consequences?
Everyone loves Skyrim, is literally the only fun Elder Scroll there is.
But Zig Forums doesn't have anything to brag about, since they are ugly, unsuccessful, have no friends, etc so the only things they can be proud of is their elitist opinion:
>Morrowind is soooo much better haha am I not smart and unique? Haha I am gatekeeping games haha am I not so great? please Zig Forums giv me validation you all told me i'm supposed to hate post 2003 games.
They are the equivalent of kids saying AC/DC is the best band ever and claiming they were born in the wrong generation. Skyrim is awesome.
>Everyone loves Skyrim, is literally the only fun Elder Scroll there is.
It's a very empty and mediocre open world RPG-like. It's only good if you mod the fuck out of it.
It is, Arena, Daggerfall and Morrowind are extremely boring when it comes to gameplay, though Daggerfall has a good story, the walking, traveling, fighting, etc is shit. Morrowind is literally unplayable and the graphics are PURE CANCER.
Oblivion is not so bad I guess? It's sort of a joke of a game though, the animations, voice acting, characters, etc
I just think it's a japanophile board, and most japanophiles realize their games disrespect their intelligence and have been condition to think "tapping plastic faster" equates to "good gameplay".
> Mods are necessary.
What about the 94% who don't mod the game. Where in the hell did mod enthusiasts get the idea they were a huge part of the fanbase?
What mods? I'm not a coomer and I like the base game a lot. What mods add more but doesn't change it into a shitty Japanese anime?
You mean the 94% you just made up in your head? There is a reason Skyrim is so popular, and it's because of mods. Even in 2020 we're still getting AWESOME mods.
Suck a dick, consoler.
morrowind is playable, you are just to ADHD to watch a tutorial on how accuracy and stat scaling works.
What about all of the sales on platforms that don't allow modding?
Morrowind is the only good one zoomie
SkyUI is essential. Without it the interface is borderline unusable.
Worst part of destruction is that leveling it up doesn't make your spells stronger, it just lessens the mana cost. A .5% damage increase to your spells per skill level would have given it some staying power in the middle levels when all your enemies health pools outscale the damage your mana pool can sustain.
>What about the 94% who don't mod the game.
There's no accounting for taste, user.
You can add DLC-sized content mods like Vigilant or Project AHO or Darkend or Moonpath to Elsweyr. Or add a fuck-off huge weapon/spells packs like Immersive Weapon Integration or Apocalypse Spells.
It's not the damage that makes the magic so strong, it's the stagger and status effects of dual-casting spells. Hence you need to chug magick potions and use racial abilities for those big encounters. 99% of the time I am using fireball and clearing everything with AOE and switch to firebolt for tankier encounters.
Just get the dual cast perk that staggers. It's still some weaksauce bullshit that doesn't scale properly, but its workable.
I just wish the basic sparks spell caused the stagger so I could just RP as sheev.
Nop. I actually used console commands to have everything at lvl 100 and best weapons at the beginning of the game. Didn't stop from making the combat wonky, animations awful, enemies boring and annoying, I still had to walk and walk and walk to get everywhere to the point I got bored and started using 99999999 movement speed console commands, the game is also full of bugs and the story is not as good as everyone says it is.
At this point, Vivec and Dagoth are just loved for becoming memes, and not for being actual, deep characters. Why anyone would care about Dagoth is beyond my understanding.
Todd Howard said in a podcast only 6% mod their games.
The console numbers support this claim.
There is not a shred of evidence that supports mods being huge.
Well if you go by tbe nexxus 40 million people who don't have the game mod the game. The unique download numbers speak more to modders autism than anything else.
>What mods add more but doesn't change it into a shitty Japanese anime?
I'm the same and my last playthrough years ago had over 100 active mods.. Go to nexusmods, sort by top rated or something and just browse the first few hundred, it's not fucking hard. Titles and the brief description preview is enough to understand what the mod is aiming to do.
Or just wear enough enchanted gear to drive down the mana cost.
They cry because they can't mod their game and it looks and plays like shit. While i'm here playing my super handsome nord in a Skyrim with 0 female NPCs, all men handsome and with HUGE DONGS and perfect butts, the highest rez and ENB possible, lots of armors and animations mods.
You're over there with your potato faces and bugs. Seethe.
>The console numbers support this claim.
wat
I mean I'm sure the modding crowd is relatively small but how the fuck would bethesda have any data on this? They clearly think it's a large enough base to try to monetize it
Oh I don't know. Maybe look at Nexus and loverslab and see the 100k mods for Skyrim and Special Edition comboned. There is a reason there are more than a billion downloads, people like Skyrim. Zig Forums contrarianism is not the truth.
Because you were 12 when it camera out. It's not a bad game either way
Cool thanks
if so little people want mods then why the creation club was made? why did microsoft paraded around that you could mod it on the xbone? and why is your bait so stale?
I heard Todd for the first time last E3 after probably a decade of memes about him.
What a bitchvoiced manlet kek.
>people like Skyrim. Zig Forums contrarianism is not the truth.
Personally I HATE vanilla skyrim and will never play it again. Skyrim as a modding platform is top tier and infinitely replayable, however.
Typically when I'm learning something new that is the go-to approach. I guess randomly installing mods can be fun too.
If you say so. You're not gonna get approval from Zig Forums that way, if you want people patting you in the head, try posting you support BLM in twitter.
Imagine being so sad you pretend to like eating shit just so other elitist shit eaters tell you how right and smart you are. LAAAAMEEEE.
Starfield when? Fuck I hope it has space magic.
>I guess randomly installing mods can be fun too.
No it just breaks things or is cosmetic so there's no reason to install it
Xbox shows the download numbers for each mod. The cheat engines ( console commands) are the most popular. I think the riot armor is the most popular non cheat mod. Might be modern weapons.
They top out at around 5% of players.
>Why anyone would care about Dagoth is beyond my understanding.
The same reason that people in Skyrim care about being independent and free from Elven tyranny: tradition. Morrowind's tradition is slavery.
I don't like this
Literal cope because you can't use ENBs or make your characters hot.
I feel sorry for you user. I hope one day you get a good PC so you can go into a modding orgy.
>Xbox shows the download numbers for each mod.
who gives a fuck about console mods? if 5% of console players are modding that's significant. the modding scene is dominant on PC, however
People like modding skyrim, actually playing Skyrim is a different matter, cuz the game is shit, even waifu/husbandu-fags like only go into the game to take screenshots and jerk off then gloat online about their OC.
None of them actually play the game
There are Skyrim mods with 40 million unique downloads. Skyrim sold around 13 million on PC. Having 3 times as many unique downloads as copies speaks to the autism of modders not the popularity of mods.
>Mage only run
>No Death run
>College of Winterhold is your first quest
God I died so many times trying this stupid self imposed challenge. I finally gave up after dying in a duel with a random dragon, I was winning and then the game pulled me into an unskippable encounter with a wannabe rival mage while the dragon walloped me.
Bruh, the Stormcloaks, Imperials, Thalmor and Skyrim's Independency or belonging to the Empire is a fleshed out topic.
Dagoth ur has a 1 minute short talk, you kill him, and that's it. He's barely a character, you could cut him off the game and nothing would be lost, so much building up for a shirtless fag with a mask.
Morrowind is a meme game
Why did they make E$O and 76?
Sheep will be fleeced.
Yes you do.
Wew laddie, what a spicy take.
Try talking to other NPCs that aren't just Dagoth then. There's quite a few questlines that explain it that are also skippable so it's no surprise that you don't know the finer details.
If you think Todd is bitch voiced listen to Avellone some time.
He makes Todd sound like James Earl Jones.
It's not that hard if you stop treating it like a nintendo game and you actually read what perks do on various skilltrees.
I am neither degenerate or a waifufag.
I will be fine.
he says, meanwhile beliving that the Empire and the Thalmor want to take over Skyrim for reasons such as 'empire' and 'more land'. I can tell from most of your posts that you probably just barely got beyond the surface level of the civil war in Skyrim and didnt take the time to read anything that wasn't spoken dialogue.
Well, less than half of SE's install base even made it to level 5 and only 60% beat the intro. 5% is still millions of people and a significant amount of your player base.
