Why is there so few strong characters with disabilities in vidya?
Why is there so few strong characters with disabilities in vidya?
Thinly veiled Avatar thread?
my wife :)
>echolocation
You're retarded it's seismic sense
i think it's pretty common, look at a lot of the dark souls bosses.
>coolest game character in a wheelchair ever conveyed
>it's a tech nerd talking turtle
perhaps
Can she tell what peoples faces look like?
can't believe they did my nigga The Boulder dirty like this
I hope Bentley absolutely wrecked Penelope before she went bad.
But then does his junk even work?
Maybe that was the real problem.
Because the game would have to have a mechanic that made it useful for the character to have said disability. Toph is blind, but with Earthbending she can feel the vibrations better than someone without. And because she relies on the earthbending to see, she is a better bender than most. Unrelated, but I think King Boomy is a stronger bender, but not as precise or coordinated as Toph.
Turtles have incredibly long dicks.
>this was the last episode before the final fight with the big bad
>the one before that was fucked up dreams about sheep
how did they do it
Be real man, hes an Einstein turtle, he probably made machines that could fuck her brains out. Shes just fucking gay
The only other piece of media with more active disabled characters I can think of is Jojos.
>tfw she can feel it when you are fapping to her just be being nearby
Sly 4 never happened.
it's called soul
I can't think of any cripples besides Johnny and part 5 Polnareff, though Johnny is easily the greatest cripple of all time so he's more than enough.
Aang should have gotten with Toph.
However, I support Kataang as a fuck you to Zutarafags
A show that had bloodbending and a weird centipede spirit that stole faces
The show had alot of humor to break up the serious points to keep you engaged. I think Soul Eater had a good balance as well.
>all those Excalibur episodes
Con from Killer7
canonically she does anal
How the fuck did Silver Chariots legs work if Polnareff was a cripple
You need to justify it and its usually justified with a trade for new abilities. Some series will say a blind character has stronger senses because of how they can focus on the other 4.
having a character rising above their disability is too much of a cage rattle for actually disabled individuals, most of whom subsist on being a victim of their circumstances
Ehhh, I meant in the general episodes themselves. Excalibur didn't need entire episodes to himself, it was a bit overkill.
Stands aren't really 1:1 to their users body, which I think should be obvious given all the super abstract ones. It's a manifestation of your soul or whatever, and I guess Polnareff's soul still had it's legs
I wish the spirit world got more world building, it felt very mystical. Are the lion turtles considered spirits?
is there anything dumber than zuko wearing a disguise that still shows his eyes?
A number of characters including Joseph are amputees, Stroheim is missing most of his body, N'doul is blind, Daiya Higashikata is basically blind, Joshu is ugly, Shigechi is obese, Diavolo has MPD, Blackmore is probably retarded, and Dolomite is a quadruple amputee
I had thought if a part of the humanoid stand gets hurt, the corresponding part of the user feels the pain as well. So if SC got his legs broken, would Polnareff just not feel anything?
no, she mentions to katara that she can't
>Joshu is ugly
I almost would have read your post to the end but then you had to go and post that bullshit
The bloodbending stance looked cool as fuck.
Also on that note, can't airbenders basically suffocate you buy controlling the air on your lungs?
I didn't realize it but hes the only one in a nation of firebenders that has a single scar
Joshu is one of my favorite Part 8 characters, the Milagro Man arc is fantastic, but my nigga is an uggo
They should be able to, but there's no way the monks would even attempt to learn something like that
Jojolion has an ol
i mean he went to a party filled to the brim with fire nation people completely undisguised and no one there knew who he was.
>is supposed to be fucking blind
>can see perfectly and is completely unimpaired, probably has better vision than a normal person
what the fuck was his problem
Does a bad leg count?
I think Monk Gyatso used it to kill off the invading firebenders. Locked them in with him and suffocated them of oxygen (also hindering their firebending useless).
Also note that Zuko's stance is more like an earthbender than a firebender. And in the Agni Kai he dissipates the fire instead of hitting it head on like you'd see most firebenders do, does it more like a waterbender.
I think Zuko learned a lot from the Gaang and took Iroh's teachings about learning from all the elements to heart.
The common folk seem pretty seperated from the nobility, but it doesn't look like the people suffer so most wouldn't worry about it.
Didn't she end up a whore having kids with multiple people
not my fault you can't respect such raw sex appeal
god I want the other family members to actually do something again, their stands are all great
He was never blind, he replaced his real eyes with fel green crystals that lets him see souls/demons easier.
They can but thats on Korra
Daiya x Josuke OTP
Toph is a cock hungry slut
That's what an evil air bender does in the sequel series, Legend of Korra.
Also, don't watch Legend of Korra.
It does, actually. Duster's limp is part of his walk cycle, and even with it his legs did major damage. He didn't fuck around in the slightest, he was plenty strong. The implication that Wess gave him that bad leg still fucks with me more than 10 years after playing, honestly.
well most avatar animals are a combination of two real-life animals (platypus-bear, rhino-lizard, badger-mole, etc) so perhaps a lion-turtle is just some animal that happens to grow really old and massive and so has some extraordinary spiritual attunement?
Idk havent seen the shitty Korra s2 episodes
Whether that's true or not, most people don't care too much for Korra and cut the ending off at ATLA
watch The Legend of Korra
don't
Except the Earth King's bear, who's just a bear.
Should have just used that sick as blue mask
the problem is that you’re trying to apply a consistent set of rules to a manga/anime that doesn’t
He was putting her over. The Blind Bandit heel turn got out on hold when she walked.
I appreciated the joke of a world of hybrid animals having a rare exotic animal just being a regular bear
>>the one before that was fucked up dreams about sheep
No it wasn't idiot, that was the episode before the eclipse. They went to the mountainside air temple, boiling rock prison, ran away to ember island and had Katara get revenge on the guy who killed her mom. There were quite a few episodes between the sheep/dreams and then ember island and the finale.
I never watched Korra. I just assumed the Lion Turtles were spirits because the energy bending lecture.
>thinking any rational person considers the comics or Korra as canon
Well shit, thinking back to Zuko at the end he really did, that’s a great catch.
Korra
yes and the joke is that it’s normal to us and crazy to them, the show even remarks on it
Did Zuko ever have any major victory?
>couldn't catch Aang to save his life/honour
>loses all the time to people like Katara, an untrained beginnger bender from bumfuck nowhere
>doesn't even get his final victory against Azula
>even in the sequel, his grandson Iroh just shows up to get bodied and be useless every single time
His only won battles are unimportant ones like when he beat Zhao in a sparring match, and if we count it against Sokka in the first episode. He was built up to be super competent initially, but ultimately he was kind of a jobber.
That's fair I guess, its just fun to try to dissect the things you love.
I was referencing the show where the characters ask about different combinations but the character they are asking just consistently states that its just a bear.
Excellent I just LOVE Off Topic Avatar threads on Zig Forums. They're just the best because it's about a cartoon.
Best thing that ever happened to Avatar is get placed on Netflix so now somehow it means it's Zig Forums related when it is not. Great thread.
Also FUCK YOU to any dissenters. Get your Zig Forums related shit out of here you bastards.
>spiritual energy manifests more in island-sized ancient creatures like how larger objects have a greater gravitational pull
this is now my headcanon
How the fuck is Avatar so good, it feels like it was a fucking fluke I swear
wb that part at the end where he literally becomes fire lord?
Disgusting
Lightning in a bottle.
Oh yes, this is much worse than
>E-Celeb thread
>Thinly veiled Zig Forums thread
>Console warring thread
>Smash hype thread
>Wojack thread
I think that's the point. He spends about the whole series trying to impress his dad, throwing away his own self-worth. His arrogance was his downfall. As Iroh said, if he the Gang didn't find him at the end of S1, he would've died because he wouldn't give up.
I was under the impression the 3 comics after ATLA that followed finding Zuko's mom were okay, while the ones leading up to Korra blew smoke. I've just recieved "The Promise", did I waste money?
Because Aang defeats his dad, Katara defeats his sister, and Iroh doesn't want the throne.
