I recently came into possession of an Xbox 360. I'm wondering if it's worth buying Ninja Gaiden Black online if I already have Sigma for PS3? Some people seem to prefer Black, while some say there is almost no difference.
Also are there any other must play games on 360? I was looking through some lists and nothing other than NGB really stood out.
Yes. Black is a better game than Sigma, it's also harder. If you have a 360 you have absolutely no excuse not to play Black.
Child of Eden is cool if you like Rez, but it was released on PS3 as well.

If you don't have a saturn (you should) you can play radiant silvergun and guardian heroes HD. Also play Lost Odyssey so you can enjoy the real Final Fantasy XIII.

sigma 1 is fun but an experiment that had to cut corners to run on ps3, and ended up with some issues. also changed a lot of music...for some reason

Black and Sigma are fundamentally the same game. There are some differences, some good, some bad. Sigma cuts out a lot of the fat from Black, like removing a lot of backtracking, and some of the "puzzles" of the game, and also adds a few new features, like new weapons and stuff, extra bosses. Some changes were pretty great, some weren't (EG, there's new rachel missions, but they are not as good as the Ryu misions), but as a whole, Sigma is still a great package. Honestly, if you play either one, you can say that you've played NG1.
NGII and NGSII, on the other hand, are COMPLETELY FUCKING DIFFERENT games, and Sigma 2 should be avoided for the true NGII experience.

It's good if you haven't played Black before. Sigma has minor improvements like on the fly healing but they changed a lot of stuff for no reason.
Wrong both versions of NG2 are bad and have loads of issues out the ass.
NG2 is great, one of the best action games I've played. You can play it on xbone without any performance issues too.

It lacks a lot of polish compared to the first, most of the bosses are terrible and there are quite a few encounters like that fight in the swamp with those fucking infinite gattling launches that are just miserable to play. There's also a lot of glitches and inconsistent AI.
When it's good, it's really good. But it's not quite up to the standards of Black.
I'm still mad that it was only way to keep this outfit past Chapter 2, I like it.
What differences exist are mostly extremely minor. Even the bigger ones aren't THAT big. The core experience is the same. Positives and negatives, but mostly identical.
