Hm. I was going to wait until Doom Eternal came to Switch since that may still come with the Doom 64 bonus. But I have like 630 gold coins that are going to expire, which is some fucking cunt bullshit. Everything else I want is full price though. Not interested in spending at the moment. Are the switch resident evil games any good?

Yes. I bought the DLC after getting halfway through the game. I love turn based games (Super Mario RPG is one of my favourites) and this keeps it simple but at the same time you have harder challenges to aim for. I thought I was good because I aced every level with some requiring retries but the bonus levels are fucking hard. I haven't beaten any of the bonus stages and the final boss had me raging as well. I only beat the final boss with the lowest rating.

Look up some gameplay videos. You can mix and match characters for some fun teams.

Buying DQ 3 and FF7?

Game is great. It's also almost always on sale for super cheap so don't feel rushed here I'd say.
In my opinion Dragon Quest Builders 1 is one of the greatest games ever, but 2 seems not as good to me. I only played the demo for 2 but its different in a lot of ways that I didn't like.
DQ11 on the other hand is likely the greatest JRPG ever made. I played PC version and am thinking I'll pick it up on switch here for the extra stuff.

It's ok, a little on the simple side. Heard better things about tue DK expansion, but haven't tried it myself yet.
The Revelations ports are good, but all of the mainline are borked in some way. 0/RE have long loading times, 4 still doesn't have gyro, 5 is missing motion blur and 6 is 6 (but does have HD rumble and alt costumes in campaign), but they're all still serviceable

This is true. I have seen it go on sale 4 times since I bought it last year. After playing the game and loving it I would be willing to pay full price but I'm glad I got it on sale.

console manufacturers control the entire market in their respective console environments. you can only publish if they allow it, where they allow it and when they allow it.
on PC there is no such thing (even though it's becoming like that if stores like Epic take the helm). On steam for example, you can activate third party keys not bought on Steam. There is no centralization of the supply.
