Wrong with it? It's genius.
What’s this hairstyle called
FPBP
If its stupid but works its not stupid
Ulysses head is a mask that a normal ugly NPC wears
While I commend them for a work around to the engine, the fact this is a limitation of said engine is dumb.
Really neat solution to a one off problem.
I bet the dev who came up with it felt pretty pleased with themselves.
Is thinking this is a train hat rather than what it actually is the biggest pleb filter in videogames?
It's not "an NPC with a train hat running under you".
It's literally just a model that glues to your first-person camera for a few seconds.
There is no hat.
There is no NPC.
It's literally the same as holding a melee weapon in first person camera, except the melee weapon looks like a train. That's it.
Umm what? They literally cheaped out and when with a quick fix instead of designing an actual rail system. That just screams laziness and incompetence. I would fire them if I was the boss of Fallout
This however is not okay but all it does it takes up unnecessary space in an already jankey, broken engine which can hardly run a "city" of 5 buildings.
Why did they drop in trainman with no backstory and no dialogue?
He's like boba fett sure, but he's even more mysterious than that and has a bigger fanbase.
Because the plot would have gone off track.
This, it's why he has that mask and his eyes don't blink.
lots of bethesda shills here today, imagine defending such a lazy fucking company that can't even develop a working train system
the goal is to make it work, nothing more
no need to put so much time and money for an actual rail system if you can just do this
Have a (You) for your bait, my good sir
It's a ten second cutscene used once in a DLC.
Work smarter not harder
I don't defent Bethesda in the slightest but I commend the artists and programmers behind this, it's a clever workaround when you're working with a shitty engine. Same with shrinking objects to create the illusion of them going further away because the FO3 engine literally can't handle a Vertibird flying away too far.
Train
Heh
You only know about it because a bethesda shill in the first place told Zig Forums.
till you have to use it for other things and realize it really was stupid not to do it the right way the first time.
Carlos...
>use it for other things
It's never used for anything else.
That's still fucking garbage tho
Effort spent in a bullshit system, is effort that could be spent somewhere else.
It is with your kind of counter productive attitude that time constraints get broken and devs end up needing to crunch inhumanely hard in the last few months of development.
>oh no, we spent too much time making shrinking horse balls and now we are lacking the time to actually finish the game! Guess we now must work 16 hours a day 7 days a week to get it done on time
Bethesda is guilty of many things, but this is just a smart solution for a small problem.
