Am I the only one that prefers the simplicity consoles offer? It's the same reason I own an iPhone. I like technology that makes my life easier. I don't want to fuck around with settings, optimizations, drivers, patches, fuck all that noise. Just do what I tell you and shut the hell up.

How about massive game worlds with incredible amounts of detail? Full cities with buildings you can go inside and interact with? AI? Texture streaming capabilities that will allow for faster travelling in in-game vehicles, instead of them all having the same top speed (See: GTA5)? Outer space exploration that actually works with no load times?

They dont make full cities with enterable buildings because they need to ship the game this decade, not because of the loading times. That would work on a mechanical hard drive too, actually. My plane in MSFS2020 goes faster than any GTA car and its fine. I run KSP and Space Engine off a 5400RPM drive I scavenged from a Thinkpad. Youre a little touched.
