I know Mii Costumes likely aren't made right in the period between character releases, but it seems like a bit of a stretch for ones clearly implied to go with Geno and Doomguy to be in this state four fighters ahead for whichever of the two would come after. The only way I can really see this being real at this point is if one of the two wasn't actually meant to come with a fighter, but I kind of doubt that.

There was an interview related to the then-upcoming release of Doom Eternal back in January, and the question of Smash came up. The response was basically that the developers had heard nothing definite related to the character in Smash despite past discussions between Nintendo and Bethesda, with it sounding like a pretty genuine and thorough statement.
