I don’t get this meme, I liked both

>Yakuza 0
shit sux

mainline - 5
spinoff - BP2

Maybe it's because I played them back to back but I just got sick of the repetition. It was half the game Yakuza 0 was content wise but fighting Majima all the time just felt like shit. It really detracted from his appearances in the story. Along with the fact that the minigames are really heavily dumbed down from 0 and the side content was lackluster. Also was impartial to the main story.

There is no fathomable reason to not like 0 if you're already a fan of the series.

0 or 5 followed by K2

4 is kino

I played 4 with high expectations from Zig Forums and was disappointed aside from playing multiple characters what made it the best? Because the story was predictable and cliche as all hell.

Kenzan.

Great new characters (Though Tanimura is rushed and therefore gets less time to shine)
Several decent new minigames.
Underground mall was added, the area under the theater was expanded, and the rooftops were added while they also interconnected the sewers with all of this to make the world feel much more cohesive.
Kiryu felt amazing to play after you had just played the other three characters.
Substories were okay from what I remember.
Story was interesting and then got increasingly ridiculous with twists that got completely off the rails which was hilarious and I loved it.
Majima was finally fleshed out as a character instead of just being Kiryu's nutcase but sometimes lucid rival.
Bosses were pretty good minus Munakata.
IF6 (Or was it 7?) was a bunch of fun and added a lot more interesting fights into the mix on top of letting characters learn each other's moves.
Lots of minor issues were fixed from 3, particularly the blocking thing which was a carry-over from Kenzan, and they finally made it so nothing was missable anymore.

Yeah, the finale trips over its feet with justifications for two of the final bosses, Munakata is easily on par with Jingu and Kenzan's "final" boss for how garbage the fight is, RUBBER BULLETS happens devaluing Saejima's actions, let's stick a big pile of money from my giant safe that I leave unlocked for some reason on top of the Millennium Tower to lure out everyone who wants a bunch of money was ridiculously stupid, and Hostess Maker eats up a disgusting amount of your time during the main story just to progress as Akiyama.
Overall it was a good game with many interesting and fun bits, and having four characters to play as was a lot of fun, particularly because we got to see different walks of life like a civvy, a cop, and an inmate.

Hold it, old man!

I stoped playing Kiwami 2 after geting tired of the DGOSHIT combat.

I've played through 0-6 recently and more or less enjoyed all of them, imo:
0:great combat, characters, a bit too long and the pacing's weird
kiwami:slightly worse combat, good story but short especially after 0
kiwami 2: meh combat, good bosses
3: meh story, but comfy and relatively short
4: loved the playable characters but the twist was meh
5: also loved the characters, great ending
6: meh combat again, good side characters, comfy overall, but short

sorry for using the word "meh" a lot, it of course means mediocre I just couldn't be fucked with to care what words I use
I have Judgment too, but I only played a couple of chapters so far, other than the atrotious drone racing it was pretty fun

>other than the atrotious drone racing
You take that back. Drone racing is easily one of the best minigames in the series.
>Uses the entirety of Kamurocho to its advantage.
>Constant shortcuts available if you know the streets, particularly through Little Asia.
>Can't just use one setup for all races, have to change the parts up on some time trials.
>Have to manage the boosts.
>Have to constantly cut corners at full speed and memorize the locations of boosts.
I want to see it in more maps, it's fantastic.

I like Kiwami despite it being 1/4 of a game in comparison to Zero. It's main problem is the bosses have super armor out the ass.
