Just hacked my N3DSXL. What games should I be playing on it? I've already played most of the big ticket Nintendo games, so recommend me something at least a little more obscure/underrated.

What is this game like exactly? It looks pretty weird. I can't imagine a first person game on DS.
> Infinite Journey
I can't find any evidence a game by this name even exists. All I'm getting is a bunch of hits about a band, even when I search "infinite journey game"
I meant Space, I'm just sleepy.
OK, thanks lol. What's the best rom site for original DS games nowadays anyway? I know a great one for 3DS with pretty much the entire library, but I'm not sure where to get DS
Beats me, I get them off a private tracker.
Oh, private trackers confuse me. Plus I don't really want to bother seeding stuff. I'd rather just mooch off of other people lol.
vimm's lair
You can play every SMT game except the PS2 era stuff
Get to it
Can you explain what SMT is exactly? Does it matter if I've never played a Persona game, or an Atlus game period?

Already played this one. Great choice. Are the sequels any good?
From what I heard the 3DS entry is fairly easy.
You can try out the GBA one, it has a translation and you can play it without emulation.
Monster collection game based on theology, your party is constantly changing due to recruitment and fusing demons into better ones
> you can play it without emulation
What do you mean by this?
Luma patches essentially make the 6th generation of pokemon playable, so WiltingY and Sinking Sapphire.
There's also a metric fuckton of Shin Megami Tensei games.
VC GBA games are played on ARM7, which is essentially the same as GBA hardware.
None of the DS games have anything to do with Persona except for the Q spin-offs.
Devil Survivor is like Persona without the cringy social life aspect, it's strategy RPG, btw.
Devil Survivor 2 is not a direct sequel of 1 so it can be played without playing 1.
SMTIV is straight up third person RPG, you don't need to have played the previous ones.
SMTApocalypse is a direct sequel to IV.
Strange Journey is a dungeon crawler.
Girl's Mode series
Aikatsu series
Pretty Rhythm/Pripara series
Minarai Majo to MocoMoco Friends
Medarot Girls Mission
Shin Atelier Rorona
So I can just go straight into my choice of devil survivor 1, 2, or SMTIV without any previous Atlus knowledge? Which would you recommend first?
I'd reccomend SMTIV. It has a really excellent hook, and I enjoyed my entire way through the game.
The Nintendo selection is always a good bet.
Super Mairo 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros. 2, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kid Icarus Uprising, Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D, Zelda Majora's Mask 3D, Zelda A link Between Worlds, Fire Emblem Awakening, Fire Emblem Echoes (Avoid Fates like the plague, it's trash), Mario & Luigi SuperStar Saga DX, Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story DX, Mairo & Luigi Dream Team, Metroid Samus Returns, Animal Crossing New Leaf, Kirby Triple Deluxe, Kirby Planet Robobot.
Thanks user, I might try it out. The only Atlus game I've ever tried before was Cathrine Classic on PC and I didn't really like it much desu. Is it different from that? Now that Persona games are gonna get ported to PC it seems like a good time to get into Atlus stuff.
Devil survivor is the one I enjoyed most, smtiv is pretty standard kept but it’s good. Strange journey is the one that would be beat described as what SMT series is all about.
They all pretty much play the same though. Fuse demons to get op abilities attack weak points and buff and debuff against enemies. You can burn yourself out marathoning them cause the battle system never really evolves from that.
Catherine is VERY different from anything else that Atlus has done
best DS game coming through
Oh fugg. There are 9 different versions. Plz help. What's the best choice?

You want SMT IV Rom (Region Free). Final and Apocalypse are the same game, it is a direct sequel to IV. Undub is for if you don't like English subs for whatever reason.
The DS Castlevania games are all really good.
Feel the Magic XX and its sequel The Rub Rabbits were early DS minigame games that were weird as fuck, and well worth trying.
The two genuinely good Senran Kagura games (Senran Kagura Burst and SK2) are 3DS exclusive. Play them so you can be angry about how the series fucking crashed and burned.
Project X Zone is neat.
OK, thanks!
