Best car from best GTA game
You guys are really taking me through a trip with these daily GTA 3 threads. It was the second game I owned for the ps2 because the fact they made it illegal in some countries really made my dad excited to buy it and piss off my mom. I still own that original copy somewhere.
Hey Joey you gunna let me play with your wrenches again?
Hello GTA 3 autist, making the same thread again I see? Do you ever find time to play GTA 3?
>stealing the banshee from the car show room and using it to run down hobos in that tunnel while listening to chatterbox FM
>gets flipped over by a gust of wind and explodes
>exactly 2:00 on a overcast day
>get into a kurma and switch to head radio
>STRIPE SUMMER
yes I 100%ed it recently
Do you speedrun it? The community for GTA speedruns is garbage tier, but you could capitalize on your autism.
What is about the gta trilogy of III, VC, and SA that gave them such great yet unique atmospheres. III has its 2000 moody and rainy metropolitan feeling. VC had the perfect sunny 80’s Miami vibe to it. SA gave you the west coast experience with the golden age of hip hop and the LA riots perfecting the feeling of the 90s. Amazing games
can i play gta or a gta-like game for free on my laptop? i really just enjoy drinking and running people over on the sidewalk an then occasional checking the stat menu to see how many people i have run over.
it would be cool if we could play gta on googlemaps
This. So many memories of stealing it nearly every play session. I didn’t even realize it was showcase room until years later.
I know soul is an overused word but these game truly had them. The cities and regions all had feels to them. Everything just had such a perfectly handcrafted feel to it. Even the pedestrian design and lines is memorable.
i probably done this over a 100 times
This game and World of Warcraft are the only games that have "blown my mind."
Been a while since I've seen these threads
>tfw played GTA3 for dozens of hours but the radio never worked for some reason

i think i had this problem with a cracked pc version. i guess they removed the music to save space which would make a lot of sense back then
I shouldn't have to resonate with this song so hard, but fuck, it does

that pic at the bottom left is from liberty city stories
I started off with a bootleg copy of gta1 on the ps. I loved the shit out of it then gta2 came out and liked it even more. I remember I used to look up video games randomly on the internet and found this first early screenshot of gta3 and almost shit myself after they mentioned how it was going to be fully 3D. It went really under the radar until release but I was hyped from day 1 when I saw the announcement. It exploded overnight after release. It felt weird knowing that I knew it was going to be a huge deal. I remember spending hours on GOURANGA almost every day. Sorry for the blogpost but just wanted to share my memories of the lead up to release. No hype will ever surpass or live up to GTA 3 for me.
Why do so many of you think it's weird to love GTA 3? It's one of the best and most influential games ever. Moreover, it hasn't aged much. The graphics and the shooting mechanics were considered bad even in 2001. But the gameplay, the freedom, and the atmosphere, of which the sharp writing was a big part, all made what flaws it had insignificant. It's a great game.
i always liked the 46 on that bike.
False.
Yep
For some reason in retrospect I am most fond of this one, even though at the time I immediately thought Vice City was superior and then SA was superior to VC.
for me it was the standard sentinel. but only when it was yellow
I feel the same way about DMC1, Earthbound, Silent Hill 1, VtMB, and Mirror's Edge. Making a setting that feels kind of modern and familiar but still ends up being really interesting seems to take a lot of skill that gets spread around to the rest of the game as well. It's easy to use setting a game in the past/future or complete fantasy as a crutch, although it can still obviously be done well too.
every normalfag thinks that san andreas is the best gta from ps2 era but holy shit they are wrong. this was my first gta and it was amazing. the best part of the game is either glitching out of the map next to the underground tunnel or getting a tank and cannon boosting across to the other island. only bad thing about that game is the motion blur that isnt motion blur and just makes the game look shit.
For me the Mafia Sentinel
Why was that tunnel even there? It ended in the middle of town and wasn't connected to anything.
Yeah that's probably it I got it from a friend and it wasn't the official game
Which tunnel is that?
GTA3, Vice City and SA were how GTA should be, fun, comical games. They turned way too serious once they hit 4 and it became a chore exploring the city due to the realism
