Witcher prequel in the golden age of witchers when we play as Vesemir and we train young Geralt

Good idea ?

bump

If it ends with the massacre of the Kaer Morhen then I'd be amazed.

You clearly haven't read the books. There would be no point playing Vesemir at the time he trained Geralt because at this time of his life, he was already an old semi-retired witcher and was spending all his time in Kaer Morhen as an instructor. So you want a witcher game taking place only in Kaer Morhen ? + The witcher golden age was already past when Geralt was a kid. He never experienced the golden age. The witcher golden age was when Vesemir was young.

Bad idea.
I think all characters in the trilogy should be retired.
They got a good ending.
If prequel should be set several centuries before any character alive.
If sequel should be set several centuries after any character alive.

Prequel. Completly new characters. Character creation (only looks, you're still human male). Young cat school witcher. You can choose between witcher work and mercenary contracts (with moral consequences to it).

So you want a full length game of Witcher 3 intro except with young Geralt instead of Ciri?
Your idea is shit mate.

Nah cat school is for fags

I would much rather have a completely unrelated witcher story much like Geralt's adventures from the short stories. I don't care for the time period, or call-backs to the Sapko characters. Just completely new people with heavy emphasis on the world building. New characters, new places and an original story that is not Find Ciri(TM)

No, that's retarded.

I'm not some big fan of them either but it could serve as a good justification for some interesting quest or choices as you would play as "not so stable" witcher. To be honest it would be cool if you could choose your school and it would impact the story and build/skills of your character.

Eh the problem is in todays market a female option is necessary. Meaning it would either be a Ciri focused game (which could be cool) or a create a character.

For the already established lore that probably means it being a sequel. Begin this far passed the books means it could go anywhere to the point you may as well create your own universe

bring back Berengar

No the story is told and Vesemirs part was served, there is nothing to gain from making a whole game around him.
Make a game where you make your own Witcher and set it during a time when there was more of them. Make a "monster hunter" style game where you are contracted for hunts and must discover the weaknesses and strengths of the thing you are fighting in your own time, rather than it being narrative driven and the information given in cutscenes.

do you want god of wife's son 2? I sure as fuck don't

i want witcher game where you make your character and prolog is many stages of training from kid to adult where you choose your school, abilities etc. and then you go to the world to slay monsters and i would like main quest to be less important but have many stories, npc, quests etc like in skyrim and more impact put onto gameplay, something like MHW

I like Vesemir but that doesn't sound really interesting.
I'd like a game after a Wild Hunt canon ending with a created protagonist.

Sounds really cool

What about something really brave like setting the game at or very shortly after Conjuction of spheres with all the chaos that entails and the actual beginnings of witchers

the next game you play as Azar Javed you imbecile

That sounds like a good idea playing as a first witcher prototype

Agree, except that it should definitely be a sequel. Fuck prequels: they feel completely pointless when you already know how it all ends.

Give us Witchering when the world has advanced to 19th or early 20th century levels of technology.

>you have the ability to play as a women
>the devs are realistic about it
>you to have a huge physical strength nerf
>You can never intimidate men in conversation unless they are absolute omegas
>most intimidation speech options are replaced with charm options

Would be cool if witcher training and trials served as a tutorial.

>You can't pass the Witcher exam unless you get several tries and easier challenges without a time limit.
>You get raped every other scene.

Coomer

Fuck flying enemies in this game. You generally can’t ignore them because it puts you in combat mode so you can walk/run away normally, fucks up jumping etc so you are sometimes literally stuck and just have to wait for them to attack you, and swipe at them. Crossbow useless. And god forbid you are in a boat. Most annoying shit ever. Also anyone want to share their build? I went mostly combat with just some Quen shield skills. Kind of wish I would have branched out more. I wreck everything but it’s gotten a bit boring.

>feel completely pointless when you already know how it all ends.
Maybe that's the point. We know how it all ends but that doesn't mean we won't enjoy an isolated story on its own. The witcher DLC had fantastic short stories that did not involve the "greater events" but that shows you can make any story in this well established universe at any time period with almost any made up character.

But women can't take witcher transmutation either

Why can’t we have male characters damnit. Every once in a while it’s kind of cool to play a chick like tomb raider but mostly it’s stupid. You can’t have a badass character like geralt be a chick without it coming across as a joke. That uncharted game with the chicks was unintentional comedy. The first time I snuck up on a dude and she knocked out a guy 3x her size and dragged his body over a rock I laughed so hard and put the game down. I get it’s fantasy but come on, there’s a point where it becomes stupid and takes you out of the game. Only reason ciri sort of worked was become she was magic, and it still seemed stupid her beating everyone up

>Mads Mikkelsen as Vesemir
Yeah I can dig that.

What is it with the need for you retards to always want prequels with "le established character but younger". Fuck off, give us some totally unrelated original character.

azar javed is just a washed down version of vilgefortz

women can take the growth mushrooms but not much else. and it stunts womanly growth if taken for too long anyways

maybe if the original creators of the witchers spent just as much time creating the process for women it could be done but they're long dead and never did. and why bother when there's never any shortage of boys around to train which make stronger soldiers anyways?

Just how it is. Then again Red Dead was the biggest game of late and was all dude. The lore COULD be stretched to allow for a magic letting girls compare.

Could give us an entirely separate character class where female characters are always Sorceresses and have completely different abilities. Kinda works in Lore over girl witchers

In that case you just die 5 minutes into the game have have to start again as a male. It would be so arthouse.

I wanna play as that big muscly bald nigga, Letho or whatever his name is. he makes Geralt look like a baby back bitch

I like to believe that its only because it never tried so rigorously. A boy's survival rate in the trial is only 30%, and witchers probably intentionally sidelined girls because they believed they were less than capable combatants and exposing them to the trial would be a costly investment. As geralt explained to Calanthe, the trial of grasses only shows whether or not a boy is capable of surviving the trial, not that he is more robust or has better genes. The Cat school utilized elves, so if the trial is good enough for the elves, it should be good enough for human girls.

>Give us Witchering when the world has advanced to 19th or early 20th century levels of technology
>fucking retard thinks someone will create Witchers through the Trials of the Grasses 700 years after Geralt's adventures
There are no more Witchers nor a huge number of monsters by the time of TW3. Makes no fucking sense for new Witchers to be created several hundreds of years after the end of 3.

Letho is an underrated character. The dude's got everything going on for him.
> Muscly
>Agile
>Wholesome
>Intellegent
>Loyal
You get a friend like letho, you're set for life.

>it should be good enough for human girls
I doubt it. the process for elves was likely designed from the ground up for elf men. its literally a very specific science and women have all the wrong hormones and bone structure for something tailor made for men

Except Geralt beat him in every encounter and killed him.

First, anything that can be discovered once can be discovered again. Therefore, it's possible to rediscover the process for Witcher creation and Ciri's power and knowledge access could help. Second, Witchers that are still alive in Geralt's time could simply live for the several hundred years that it would take to get to that level of technology.

He lost the first one

nah Letho came and saved me from some merc ambush or some shit, been a while since I played. he definitely ain't dead canonically tho and he definitely moggs geralt
