I never got any from my several experiences, but a couple buddies/ acquaintances have claimed to, and given the nature of vr, I don't find that out if the realm if possibility. Also, I sit because I have no desire to move around in vr, I've never felt to desire to be so "emersed" into a game, I just want something I can pour 100s if hours into when there's nothing else to do

FF7R has now "technological improvements" all of it's graphical feats have been done in plenty of other games. meanwhile VR an entirely new, unique medium. but don't get me wrong, VR will never replace traditional gaming, just as video games didn't replace tabletop games.

if you have 0 interest in it, then so be it, you have no obligation to play VR, just let gamers coexist.

my point being it's not a "dumb idea" if it's something that people have wanted for literally decades. VR and flatscreen games accomplish the same goal: escapism. just in 2 different mediums.

Tons and tons of tech demos and "VR experiences" that get boring after 10-30 minutes
Couple hours of Star Trek Bridge Crew, which is fun with friends.
Some racing sims. (VR is great for that)
Some flight sims but current headsets don't have high enough resolution for that. Needs 4k per eye.
Superhot VR is great but only 2 hours long.
Pavlov, which is like Counter Strike except shit
Talos Principle and Payday 2, which both are a lot more fun without VR
Some puzzle games are actually OK but all pretty short.
Shooting galleries are all shit.

This was 1 month.
Might rent one again to play newer games like Half Life Alyx but wouldn't pay $600-$1000 to buy a headset. Just not enough good games to use it with.
