how can hylians exist for thousands of years and not advance in technology at all? how can you get startled and outclassed by technology from fucking 10k years ago?

Technology progresses through needs and struggle.
The Hylians live an Idyllic life outside of the SHORT periods of time shown in the games.
They understand technology and cities do nothing but rob people of their natural relations with their gods and lands.
Technology is not evil but the unrelenting worship and destructive obsession is.

maybe they're just stupid

dude 10k+ years with not a single person wanting to make a revolution in favor of technological advancement. maybe that would end with robbie and purah but god that took a long ass time. i know the royal family disregarded sheikah technology but come the fuck on

thats probably accurate. its so frustrating though

Magic stagnates technical progress in magical worlds, normay. The alternative could be that they're like the Irish, not as clueless and shiftless as African civilization, but close; the Irish build some nice towns and farms and other than that they're pretty content with their life of drinking and hanging with the b'ys.

Technology only develops to solve problems. If you live in a utopia then you don't have any reason to advance technology.

how can nintendo exist for tens of years and not advance in technology and game design at all? how can you get startled and outclasses by games and consoles you had decades of a head start against?

Based.

This, there is a reason African civilization developed slower. It's because they live in a utopia

The actual answer is that you're thinking about this harder than the developers did, and there's really nothing to be gained from that. Hyrule is still medieval simply because that's the way Legend of Zelda games are; the "technology" in BotW is really only aesthetic deep, and the "10,000 years in the future" bit is just a cheap explanation to justify it.

i thought it was cuz there wasn't much to start with, trees are scarce, your not gonna find caves that often since its mostly flatland and your gonna get fucked by lions

>not as clueless and shiftless as African civilization
Except African civilisations underwent shifts 'bigger' than in many other regions considering the fact that they underwent huge jumps in development, from agriculture, to developing ironworking and jumping right into the Iron Age, followed by big fat urbanised medieval blob empires mainly in West Africa and the Sahel. You say it was clueless and shiftless because you know literally nothing about African history. I bet you think the whole continent was stone age hunter-gatherers.

you can't live near water either because of mosquitos

>Africa
>Utopia
The only 'nice' part of Africa is the temperate regions in Southern Africa. Maybe the green parts of Morocco and North Africa. Literally everywhere else has a fuckload of shit to deal with
>Tsetse flies past the tsetse belt
>Rampant malaria
>Large predators
>Central Africa. Just...Central Africa.
Africa is the opposite of a utopia. There's a reason it was viewed as a graveyard for explorers. And it wasn't the locals, who were much less of a threat than the environment.

Besides Nubia and the one (slaver) city in West Africa, Africa was largely shiftless and useless. Niggers didn't even invent the fucking wheel lmao

uh.. ever hear of Wakanda sweetie? We was literal kangz.

So you've taken the shitpost route.
>Besides Nubia
Northeast Africa was a hotspot of ancient and medieval civilisations that were linked to the rest of the world. You forgot Abyssinia. Also the ancient Somali city states, the Ifat/Adal Sultanates, and the Ajuran Sultanate.
>one (slaver) city in West Africa
So let me get this straight, you are disqualifying the development of a city because its economy relied on slavery? It doesn't count? Why?
You left out a bunch of kingdoms that underwent big shifts in administration, wealth and development, by the way.
>Mali
>Songhai
>Swahili city states
>Kanem-Bornu
Et cetera, et cetera.
>Niggers didn't even invent the fucking wheel lmao
Only 2 or 3 areas at most developed the wheel. Most of them were in the Middle East and one was in the Black Sea region IIRC. It spread everywhere else. History doesn't work like that. You think everybody everywhere independently came up with the wheel? Tech spreads. Also, some civilisations had access to the wheel, but didn't use it. The Japanese, and pre-Islamic Arabs didn't use the wheel. Besides, the wheel was used in Northeast Africa, from Egypt to Somalia.

BOTW2 will reveal the Zelda timeline is cyclical and ends by looping back to SS. The technology and Ganon were impossibly powerful in BOTW because before that game the three timelines somehow merged again, which explains why there are references to all of them (like rock salt, Rito and Zora coexisting ,etc.). The castle rising up into the air in the BOTW2 trailer becomes Skyloft, and the undead hero who wakes up becomes Demise, after the loop occurs.

that is extremely dumb
don't ever post your theory's here again

>This, there is a reason African civilization developed slower.
Did you know Ancient Egyptians were black but the Roman Empire (currently known as the Catholic Church) destroyed the Hall of Records under the Sphinx and mutilated its face to remove crucial historical evidence of black superiority, making things much easier when they used their own idea of slavery against them?

I think I hate falseflaggers like you worse than the retards that take the bait

This incarnation of Zelda is into tech more than religious tradition and the fact that there are two scientists alive is a hint that Hylians are about to start using more tech

OP is a communist that thinks progress is a completely upward trend.

I can see this happening.

you don't need technology when you have magic/theurgy

Nothing of note has ever happened in Africa. The best you'll find is in Ethiopia and only because they were more middle eastern culturally than african.

This sounds fucking stupid but entirely possible. Isn't the dead guy in the trailer the Link from 10,000 years ago on the intro? Would be pretty wild if he is Demise, who is then Ganon, which makes Link and Ganon technically the same dudes

i know there are diminishing returns in research and innovation but im pretty sure theres no way that you would go on for 10k years without realizing something new

The story in each Zelda games should be self-contained instead of trying to fit into the dumb timeline(s).
It's still going to be about Link/Ganon/Zelda incarnations because we're never getting something different like Majoras Mask again, but just say it's different tellings of the same story.

This. Revealing the timeline was a major F for the series. It was much better when it was up to fan speculation and theory. Gave the series much more dimension. Muh always have to know everything.

>Africa was stagnant and useless
>No it wasn't here's why
>Well nothing of note ever happened there! Nothing relevant to the WORLD took place
Why do people do this every single time?
>The best you'll find is in Ethiopia and only because they were more middle eastern culturally than african.
I thought Ethiopia was more relevant to the rest of the world because of their wars with nearby Nubia and Yemen, and their conquering of the latter. Also with their unique status as an Orthodox Christian nation surrounded by heathen muslims endearing them to much of Europe and granting them this pseudo-mythical status in the early modern era. And their social stratification (none of which can be attributed to Middle Eastern influence since the ME lacked societies quite like Ethiopia's) resembling feudal Europe's, allowing for a solid peasant class and aristocracy to form. To say it was solely due to them 'being more middle eastern culturally than african' is horribly, horribly reductive. It's clear you don't really care about history outside of using it to prove your own worldviews correct.
