technically harvestmen do form clusters, but they're not spiders, there are social spiders, mostly in south america, that work together to build large webs, like in the webm, but they don't cluster in a ball like the harvestmen

my biggest gripe with spiders in video games is that they never act like real spiders. video game spiders are way over-animated and make loud noises when spiders are usually very still when not moving and are very quiet. give me a game where a spider designed to look like a jumping spider actually animates and behaves like a jumping spider, near stop-animation like movements when actually moving, very still when idle/not moving, and uses ambush tactics on the player and not blindly chasing like they do in every single game in existence.

I wish, I have a bunch of spiders in my room but they never fucking catch any of the flies, I have to hunt them down with a swatter myself, although it is quite fun to hit a fly mid flight and splat it against the wall
