I was with him until he brings you into the basement and shows off the upgraded securitrons. Worst ending for the courier too, you get to play manchild in the top suite of a casino, completely soulless. He will betray you the second he is able to, he's also a secret dumbass who would have been unplugged by bigger dumbass Benny had you not survived getting shot in the head. The only real choices are NCR and Legion.

In all fairness it seems unrealistic that House would attack the Courier and risk harming the Chip. I'd like if there was a sort of Mexican standoff type of situation in that conversation.

But then again, if House is OK with shooting bullets and lasers in the Chip's general direction, he could have just as easily attacked the Courier the second they entered the Strip. So he probably has no intention to harm the Courier unnecessarily.
