As someone who doesn't particularly like visual novels, is there anything about this series that would keep me interested enough to play through?

Why the fuck did they set up Kaede to be like the phantom of the opera but she never fucking showed up again after dying? They didn't even show her death so there was still hope until the end. Am I just seeing things or was it an idea that got eventually abandoned?

Maybe they were trying to get monokuma on the center, either way that box art is pretty crappy, they should've asked the original artist to draw something new.

All those references to Kaede having a sister that is found scaterred during the last part of the game, like in the "cryogenization" room. They were trying to set up parallels to Danganronpa 1.

That was literally just Tsumugi's damage control. Kaede's "twin sister" is basically just her sister from her fictional backstory Tsumugi gave her, just like how Kiyo's sister isn't actually a real person

V3's postgame is literally better than the game itself. I actually like the story, but it's the best in the series just for that.

V3 was a disaster, in every aspect.
It was so stupidly bad it felt like it was thrown together last minute.
People shit on ZTD but at least that game, regardless of how autistic it is, makes some sort of sense for why people are doing things.

This. UTDP is kino and wholesome and there are some pretty interesting character FTEs this time around. Not as good as DR2's though.
