What are those games? It was said last year they had some console project using "globally known IPs" and the latest shareholder reports since early 2020 had some increase in production. the chairman of Konami also changed earlier this year.
It was apparently said during last year TGS Bomberman event that Ex Hudson staff members were working on a bomberman game, but that it was too early to be announced.

Regardless of what happen, another MG project must be in work. the old kojipro still exist after all. it wasn't disbanded but renamed with most staff, veteran included , still in. and most were found in no project since either 2015 or 2018 (for those who worked on Survive) Unlikely, last game is few month old.
Metal Gear Rising enhanced port or MGR2 happening. it's not releasing on next gen just like how MGRR only released on PS3/360/PC.

if they remake a game, it obviously be MGS3. due to the pachinko controversy and people not understanding that it was CGI and not related to the vidya branch.
i'd prefer MG1/2 to give more freedom to the devs storywise and gameplaywise, but the team need to play it safe first.

that's the alt ending, the real break the game from the OG timeline and trap your character in the broken future with no way to return, so that the normal timeline be safe.
Basically the final goal is to retcon the game story from the main timeline.

There's a lot of things they can do remake, reboot, game before the previous games, a game between two other games, a game post MGRR....they must be working on something, the question is "what?" and "when will it be announced?"
i'd say not this year; Konami may want to focus on SH, but next year would be it for me. then again Konami are hard to read.

It's not. the game is still edited by Konami, they still own 100% of the IP. it's developed by Sony Japan Studio however (more specifically the siren team, who also did the gravity rush games).
