I watched those fuckers for a long time, only once did I see something wierd, they all gathered somewhere outside the city think it was to the east in some forest.
Could see their markers clearly on the map but once I fast traveled to the nearest location they where back in town.
100% certain that it was just a bug but I got really excited when it happened.

Don't listen to him, the fog hides how small the actual game world is and removing it makes everything feel way to close together. Really its just a preference thing but personally I think Morrowind works better when everything is foggy 24/7.

Yeah i dont mind how it is now. I just looked too, most mods not compatible with openmw, which im using.

this man speaks the truth. morrowind is best as a quasi dreamland experience, and the constant fog helps with that impression. mods are good for fixing actual bugs and adding content, but don't go changing atmosphere like that. It's why I'm not really a huge fan of the massive texture replacement packs; they change the feel too much.
